An unknown number of people have been killed and injured in a stabbing attack at a festival in the city of Solingen in western Germany, the news agency dpa reports.
No arrests yet, but it is getting to be habit forming.

Witnesses gave a description to the police.

The police have refused to release it to the public. We all know why - its the same every time.

Hilariously the police are asking for help in finding the attacker while refusing to release a description:

* Help us find the attacker
* What does he look like?
* we're not gunna tell you that!!

They also have no idea what the motive might be!!

Some of the public spoke to the media and some of the braver elements of the media have said the perp was Arab looking.

If that happened here our internet censor would be working overtime to have the data suppressed.

Hi Bezza,

Solingen is located 25 km east of Dusseldorf. Oddly enough
it's called the "City of Blades." Being renowned for the
manufacture of fine swords, knives, scissors, and razors.
It's was known and remains the knife-centre of Germany.

According to reports 3 people have been killed and 4 seriously
wounded at the city's 650th anniversary festival. No one
has been arrested. I guess we'll know more as things come
to light.

Apparently the Solingen swords are world famous.

The Festival began on Friday and was supposed to run through
to Sunday with several stages in central streets offering
attractions such as live music, cabaret, and acrobatics.
Tens of thousands of visitors had been expected over the
course of the Festival. Music was being performed at the
time of the attack.

What prompted the attack - I guess we'll find out in due
course. In the meantime - people are in a state of shock.
All we can do is pray that the perpetrator will be caught
soon. A shame that violence should grip such a beautiful
peaceful city.

Hopefully, the authorities do have things under control.

There's the "Solingen-Grafrath" which is the most beautiful
part of Solingen. It's a place where time seems to have
stood still. Located in the north of Solingen. Small but
most beautiful.

It has a historic market square, and a historic town center.
Delicious gastronomy, beautiful little shops, interesting
museums, including the German Blade Museum, the "fauna"
zoo, and wonderful hiking trails.

The old town around the market square at the foot of the
monastery church is also one of the 56 historical city centers
selected in North Rhine Westphalia.

A dream of a place - and a shame that such a violent act
could have taken place nearby. Hard to understand or make
sense of it all.

Looks like it happened at the 'Festival of Diversity'.

That's right. I got a really good laugh out of that. Diversity throws up all sorts of people, including those who stab other people.

Some do it with knives.

Others with words.

Not all are aware that it's not appropriate to answer

There have been many attacks like this in Germany.
I did see that someone was counting them, it was in the tens of
thousands if my memory serves.
The person who said he was Arab looking was a first hand observer of the attacks.
The Germans sometimes use the word Southerners if they are Arabs.

Thanks Foxy,

Without knowing the forum haters are jumping to conclusions, of course they want the perpetrator to be Arab.

"elements of the media have said the perp was Arab looking." For Christ sake, it was bloody Jesus! He was "Arab" looking by all accounts.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the terrorist stabbings. It was a deliberate attack against Christians, and ISIS is proud of the event.

The local plod can come up only with a “possible” terror attack; and the ratbag media reckons that ISIS “often” makes false claims.

The apologists for terrorism go to great lengths to hide the truth about multiculturalism, mass immigration and plain terrorist activities. They are worse than terrorists; they are traitors to their own people and their own countries.

One person of interest has been arrested at a “refugee” centre. Another person has been identified as being “a man in his 20s or 30s, approximately 1.70 to 1.75m tall, with an athletic build and a short, full beard.”

Nothing about his ethnicity, of course, which would be helpful: far too “racist” to speak of someone who murdered three people and injured eight others, don't you know. “Racism”, real or imagined, is much worse than murder and terrorism!

That's what the two Marxist arseholes on OLO think.

ISIS have claimed responsibility.

One of the surviving victims said he recognised the attacker and that he frequented the local mosque.

Others said he was yelling "Allahu Akbar" during the attack.

Nup...no clue who did it!! Yeah sure.

The police are calling it a terror attack but don't (as usual) know the motive. Yeah sure.

The festival was to celebrate Diversity. (I think it gets capitalised for the same reason God gets capitalised. Just a new religion).

Some swoon that diversity is our strength. In facts its THEIR strength. While the west ties itself in knots trying to convince ourselves that this isn't a civilisational overthrow, the Mohammedans are getting on with the business of completing the conquest. Fiddling while Rome burns.

Just got some info from a friend in Germany who told me that there are way more incidents than reported. Hand bag snatching, sexual assault etc are an everyday activity committed by members of a certain group of "refugees". As punishment they get put into nice homes, receive unemployment funds & a greater share of benefits than ordinary Germans.
These agenda focussed "refugees" are seeking to achieve greater notoriety hoping it'll ensure more dislike & even hatred towards them. The plan is to use this attitude towards them as a legitimate excuse to keep bleating racism & cause general disunity & social upheaval which can then be used to fuel more violence. The Govt has recently shown some backbone by destroying the largest Mosque in Germany as it was apparently used to indoctrinate & recruite rather than for legitimate religious activities.

Two or three days back a Guard in a Russian Prison had his head cut
off by an ISIS prisoner.
In Somalia terrorists blew up 20 people in a market.
In Sydney someone was knifed in a public place, no further info.
In Sydney Yesterday after a traffic accident four people, including
a policeman were injured by a knife wielding man who ran off but was
taken down by the policeman.
Getting to be monoteness.

Searching for where I saw that count of terrorist attacks, pretty
certain it was Islamist attacks since 9/11 and was mid tens of thousands.
It appears France and Germany are at the top of the list.

Are Palestinians fleeing Gaza a threat to Australia's
national security? This question is going to be
debated for sometime yet.

Our security agencies including ASIO tell us that visas
are subject to extensive screening with less than 30% of
Palestinian applications approved since Oct. 7th.

So are calls to ban visas for those fleeing Gaza
warranted?

The link given below gives more information:

http://sbs.com.au/language/english/en/article/are-palestinians-fleeing-gaza-a-threat-to-australias-national-security/irOsyz7px

The Department of Home Affairs says that 7,111 visaa applications
from Palestinians were refused and 2,022 temporary visas were
granted.

ASIO Chief Mike Burgess has made it clear that divisive
comments by political leaders put a target on certain
communities and fanned sentiments of discord between
communities and affect cohesion throughout the country.

It was made clear that - we must apply the same humanitarian
processes for all with no distinction on the basis of race,
language, place of birth, or faith.

A difficult task and challenge for any one.

Actually it is a lot worse than I thought.
Wikipedia has a list;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Islamist_terrorist_attacks

Scanning down this list I remember many of them being reported and
they individually fade from memory.
Anyone who doubts that there is a war going on is living in unreality.

· Kill disbelievers wherever you find them. If they attack you, then kill them. Such is the reward of disbelievers. (2:191)

· Make war on the infidels living in your neighbourhood. (9:123)

· Kill the Jews and the Christians if they do not convert to Islam or refuse to pay Jizya tax. (9:29)

and so and on.

Bezz,

"List of Islamist terrorist attacks". ALL terrorists are a danger, no matter who they, if not to us, then to others. Radical extremists linking themselves to a religion, such as Islam are one, Christian fundamentalists with screwed up ideas are another. State sanctioned terrorism as is the case with Israeli terrorism directed towards Palestinians, another example of terrorism.

"Is that what Foxy & Paul1405 et al want it to become like here too ?"

No that's not what they want. But they are just cavalier about it and don't have the wherewithal to understand its the logical result of the policies they are devoted to.

OTOH some people who think like this really don't care about the results of the policies they advocate, preferring to virtue signal what they think is their superior moral stance and basking in the warm inner glow of that.

They really don't care about the results, secure in the knowledge (or is it hope?) that the consequences will be paid by others. That's why I think it would be a good idea to house these refugees in the electorates of these virtue signallers - so that they learn and suffer the consequences of their naivity.

mhaze,
Even better would be to send these virtue signallers to Gaza & other trouble regions. By all means pay them the same as any overseas staff & if they feel like it they can stay on longer & donate some of their salaries ! They could be employed as border security to check/filter the refugees & send them to countries that accept them.
Any refugees insisting on coming to Australia should be sent where they're needed & of use & they should have to stay for some years to prevent the forming of enclaves.

Queensland next.

Then, hopefully and fully deserved, Albanese and his mob, bringing in trash that has nothing to do with us. Their Muslim mates next to Gaza won't have a bar of them, but Albanese is hoovering them up, and bringing them here - from the other side of the world, which has FA to do with us.

Albanese is a lunatic.

Correct ttbn,

Labor got what it deserved in the NT, and yes I do believe there will be a change of government up here in Queensland in October, and rightly so. Labor has dropped the ball on a number of issues. I actually like our Labor member, works hard for the community, but I'm voting, not Green, but for an Independent, my mate, after failing in the local council election in March he's having a go at the State, good luck "Little Buddha". Queensland today.....Canberra tomorrow.

The difference between the NT, Qld and Canberra, both the NT and Qld govs were/are in power for a long term, and change is in the air. Whereas Labor is first term in Canberra, and regardless of what hard right people like you think (you never support Labor governments at anytime) I don't think they'll be ousted in 2025.

BTW, the clown you would likely vote for here, the ONE NATION Wally, he's a total fruitcake! I haven't met the LNP candidate as yet.

The private sector and the population are going to go more DIY as left-wing governments - including those still bleating about being ‘centre right - drop the ball, and even make it clear that they prefer the ‘other side’: immigrants, legal and illegal, and murderous foreigners in general.

Ok well another day another massacre.

DAKAR, Aug 27 (Reuters) – Hundreds were killed in north-central
Burkina Faso on Saturday after suspected jihadists opened fire
on them as they were digging trenches around a town to protect
it from attacks, victims’ relatives and a source who spoke to
wounded survivors said.
Report said it was an Al Quaida and ISIS group.
I seriously doubt it will be mentioned anywhere on our news media.
If hundreds murdered is not newsworthy, How many thousands would it
take to get their interest ?

If they were moslems it would mean thousands demonstrating in our streets..

Well this time it is six more shootings;
No matter what your opinion of the Israeli Hamas war it has gone
beyond all that with the murder of the six hostages and their last
word videos made by their holders.
To do that video was just to turn the screw tighter on Israel.
So it appears the instruction to the hostage holders is to kill them
if the Israelis get close.
It appears the only possibility of a ceasefire is if the crossing
into Egypt is open and controlled by Hamas.
The question Israel faces is would more Israelis die if the crossing
was in the hands of Hamas than the number of remaining hostages ?
If I was making the decision I would say yes we agree then open the
crossing as the hostages are released and close it immediately the last hostage arrives.
Hamas does not deserve any honesty.

Bezz,

To say; "but could be inspired while totally ignorant
of Islam."

True, but as equally true he could be inspired by the fairies at the bottom of the garden. Extremist will look for a common denominator as the focus for their actions, in the case you highlight at every opportunity the Islamic religion is a focal point, a common denominator for those who in their view are seeking justice. The root cause is often economic. One example is Ireland where Catholics seen themselves oppressed by a dominant group who happen to be Protestant. It was not a religious conflict at all, although outwardly it seem so, it was an economic war between two groups who happen to have a distinction which embraced religion.

The problem with Islam is that the Koran which calls in many verses

It is not just an historical thing it is preached today.
That is the difference that makes all the difference.

Hi Bezz,

I've asked you several times to state what section of the Koran, calls for the killing of Jews and Christians. I'm not asking because I want to defend Islam, far from it, but as I freely admit not being familiar with that text I approach this with an open mind, do you? I suspect, like the Christian Bible, there is much left to ones own interpretation, and the interpretation of the "theological elite" to be passed down to the ignorant.

It often astounds me with Christian people, friends, people I would consider intelligent and rational, they are so easily taken in by what in my opinion is nothing more that old codswallop! Its like talking to Einstein who is factually and rationally explaining to you his 'Theory Of Relativity', then he suddenly makes the ridiculous statement; "You know its all the work of the great toad!".... "What are you saying Albert?".... "Yes sunny, the great toad done it all!"...."Sorry Albert you just lost me". That's what organised religion is like, the great toad theory.

p/s I also suspect some of my Christian friends know its old codswallop, but to be accepted in the group, they go along with it all, as its the thing to do to be accepted. Maybe there are those adherents to Islam who are much the same. But with people who are basically ignorant, they'll believe anything you tell them.

Kill them wherever you come upon them1 and drive them out of the places from which they have driven you out. For persecution2 is far worse than killing. And do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they attack you there. If they do so, then fight them—that is the reward of the disbelievers.

Good to see the father charged. Perhaps if Western governments were not continually interfering with families, and driving a wedge between parents and children there would be fewer of these horrible events.

The Total State is dead set on ‘relieving’ families of looking after themselves: getting kids into brainwashing factories younger and younger. The Albanese government is after 3 year-olds now.

Children should be with their mothers until they are 5 years old or when they start school. They should be with their mothers and fathers as much as possible after that. Parenting is the job of parents, not the State.

ttbn- I've been looking into Carl Schmitt's- The Concept Of The Political, short book 50 pages or so, He seems to be very analytical and well respected even by Hebrew Leo Strauss and in spite of his membership in the Nazi party from 1933.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Schmitt

"He was an active jurist, a member of the Prussian State Council, and a professor in Berlin. In 1936 Schmitt was forced to resign his political role when the SS targeted him, but Hermann Göring protected him. After the Second World War ended, Schmitt spent over a year in an internment camp and returned to Plettenberg. He refused denazification, which barred him from academic positions. However, he continued his studies and frequently received scholarly visitors. In 1963, he published the Theory of the Partisan. Schmitt died on 7 April 1985 at the age of 96. "

"Schmitt provided a positive reference for Leo Strauss, and approved his work, which was instrumental in winning Strauss the scholarship funding that allowed him to leave Germany.[45] In turn, Strauss's critique and clarifications of The Concept of the Political led Schmitt to make significant emendations in its second edition. Writing to Schmitt during 1932, Strauss summarized Schmitt's political theology thus: "[B]ecause man is by nature evil, he therefore needs dominion. But dominion can be established, that is, men can be unified only in a unity against—against other men. Every association of men is necessarily a separation from other men… the political thus understood is not the constitutive principle of the state, of order, but a condition of the state."[46]"
