"Having escaped the lion's den, Bruce Lehrmann made the mistake of coming back for his hat"

Indeed.

Found to have on the balance of probabilities to have raped Ms Higgins.

A rapist.

Hi Steele,

I have to admit that I was surprised by the judge's
decision. It took ages for the judge to make it.
Anyway, we have to respect that decision. Who's
going to pay all the legal fees has not been decided
yet.

In any case, Bruce took a gamble, and he lost.

Will we ever know the full truth of what really
happened that night?

You beat me to it Steele, I put this in;

"Justice Michael Lee has thrown out former Liberal Staffer Bruce Lehrmann's case of defamation brought against Network Ten and journalist Lisa Wilkinson. Justice Lee went further, declaring that on the balance of probability Lehrmann had raped another Liberal staffer, Brittany Higgins, in the office of Senior Liberal Minister Linda Reynolds on the night of March 23rd 2019. Lehrmann, who described himself to police as the Liberal Minister Linda Reynolds’ “most senior staffer” refused to comment after the verdict was delivered, quickly rushing from the court. With this finding what is the future for both Lehrmann and Higgins?"

Justice Lee went for about an hour and a half delivering in detail his verdict, and it was stunning; Lehrmann raped Higgins, The expectation of Australians with their sense of fair play will be Lehrmann should face justice, is this possible? Another question is; Was there a cover up by the LIBERAL PARTY, through the actions of senior politicians including the most senior Liberal at the time Scott Morrison?

Hi Foxy,

"I have to admit that I was surprised by the judge's
decision."

Its obvious that Justice Lee wanted to leave no doubt in anyone's mind as to what he believed was both the actions on that night, and the character of Lehrmann describing him as a cad of the highest order, and worse still a rapists. His verdict was the strongest sentence Justice Lee could pass on Lehrmann, and in one and a half hours Justice Lee did that rather well.

One of the Forums leading Trumpsters was last August singing the praises of Lehrmann, as a virtuous senior LIBERAL PARTY member, who would do no wrong. The same "legal eagle" is always out of touch with his legal opinions.

Hi Paul,

I am still unsure about all of this. I remember thinking
at the time when I watched the initial footage from
Parliament House - Higgins walking quite normally and
did not appear drunk. They both separated on entrance
and went in opposite directions. Of course I'm not
saying that Lehrmann is innocent. But I'm not so sure
that Higgins is either.
