Justice Lee had something to say about being intoxicated and walking. The admission that Lehrmann was plying Higgins with a large amount of alcohol, and the purpose/intent of that action was clear to his honour.

Don't those Old Farts who were trumpeting the virtues of poor hard done by Mr Lehrmann, at the hands of that terrible vixen Ms Higgins look bloody stupid now.

We have to remember that Bruce Lehrmann is not a
convicted rapist. What we can now say is that a
finding has been made against him in so far as
the judge was satisfied that non-consensual sex
had occurred in that office, and as such Lehrmann's
civil case failed. But we can't call him a rapist.

There has not been a criminal conviction that has found
him guilty of the relevant sexual assault. The civil
standard of proof is not the same as the criminal
standard.- which is far more rigorous in criminal law.

If the matter is returned to the criminal courts, then
all the parties will go through a much more rigorous
process than what has occurred in the Federal Court.

Lehrmann has always maintained his innocence and has
not been convicted of any crime.

He may choose to appeal this decision. Although he'll
need money to do it. And he'll still have to probably
pay for the legal costs of his failed defamation case.

He just may take his hat and go home.

"But we can't call him a rapist" Justice Lee had no problem referring to Lehrmann as a rapists, several times in his judgement. Saying; "“Mr Lehrmann raped Ms Higgins.”
