The last two posters described the Public Servants as they used to & supposed to be. One just has to look at PS job advertising. These jobs are always referred to as "careers" with the emphasis on the individual rather than the well-remunerated service provided to the Nation.
Just wait until we have a federal administration with sufficient integrity that hounds useless & corrupt bureaucrats like they hounded some Army & other in-the-field personnel who only had moments to make a decision.
If anyone should have three year terms it should be the bureaucrats.

The Mineral Council represents vested interest, i.e its members. Like any other lobby group it tries to influence government to its way of thinking, for its members advantage. There is a social contract between all Australians and those who The Mineral Council represents. A two way street exists, with benefits flowing to both miners and Australians, who after-all are the owners of the resources that mining exploits, and whose interest should be safeguarded by government.

There's no evidence of that as I believe mining does very well in Australia, and have a better advantage here than in many other developed countries. Some might like to see mining so advantaged that Australians are reduced to the status of third world beggars in their own country, as big mining exploits the peoples resources to their total advantage.

Foreign interests merely exploit the silliness of societies. In drug riddled societies this is very easily achieved, the evidence is there for all who are willing to see it. Do away with discipline, make idiotic frivolities a priority & entice people to willingly let themselves dumb down & the road is clear for what we're going through right now !

The person supposed to run the country, Albanese, is certainly not doing it. If he was, he would have replaced the Home Affairs Minister, the Immigration Minister and the Climate Change Minister long ago.

Albanese said that he would be like Bob Hawke, who left his Ministers to get on with it.

Trouble is, Albanese is nothing like Bob Hawke - unfit to lick his boots - and Hawke had good Ministers, not the likes of the three incompetent clowns mentioned above.

There is no one running the country. The Labor/Greens/Teal cartel is a hopeless disgrace.
