Since 2018 there have been at least 5 studies undertaken around the world involving the energy return on investment for wind energy.

It typically takes about six months for turbines to achieve energy-payback time, or EPBT, the time it takes for a system to generate more energy than it took to make it.

The US Environmental Protection Agency report said the typical lifespan was 20 years for wind turbines. Other sources estimate from 18-25 years.

I estimate this gives a return of 40-1 but some more conservative estimates are a 20-1 return (they are probably adding other costs not just energy in and energy out).

It's no wonder that the energy sector is pouring money into wind turbines.

Would you take those odds of 40-1 on a sure thing?

Considering the sub-sonic vibrations, the noise that is always there even while one cannot hear it, the headaches, the sleep deprivation, the mental anguish the people living nearby are going to suffer from as a result, then considering the time I would have to spend in hell as a result of inflicting all that, I don't find the investment in wind turbines a profitable one.

The pollution factor from producing wind turbines to the disposal pollution is not worth toying around with those things !

Go nuclear at current coal and gas electricity generators and stop destroying the environment with huge eye sore towers and lines across farmlands.

So profitable. Yet they still need subsidies by the bucket load. I wonder why?

Answer.... they are in fact not in the slightest bit profitable without the government tipping gigantic sums toward wind companies. This is a massive transfer of cash from the poor users to the rich investors.

Wherever wind generation becomes a significant part of a country's energy make up, electricity prices rise, often dramatically. Figures like WTF's bogus numbers are only achieved by ignoring all the extra costs with so-called renewables such as transmission costs.
