While ASIO has reported that more Australians are now targets of foreign espionage and influence than at any other time in Australia's history, it also reports that that it has been told by "individuals in business, academics and bureaucrats" that the organisation should 'ease up' on its responses to this disturbing activity to avoid 'upsetting foreign regimes".

We should not upset foreign regimes if they are spying on us!

As Opposition Senator, James Patterson, points out, it is one foreign regime in particular that these disloyal people don't want to upset - the Chinese Communist Party. These people, who some might call 'traitors' are worried about their relationship with the CCP, particularly the economic relationship: all that easy money for the 'elites' that has enslaved us to the CCP.

There is also the possibility that the CCP's spying on 'many of our leaders' in business and in politics, might reveal compromising information about them.

Oh he's started a another one after swearing just the other day he'd never start another discussion topic. A true man of his word.

Please don't mention China, I mentioned it, but I think I got away with it. Lucky Me!

"might reveal compromising information about them" Some Liberal Party chick MP did some porno shots back in the day. Do ya think the Chinese might have copies of those happy snaps, ready for release for all to see?

True to form, Angry Andrews in Victoria reckons that it's nonsense, and the 9,000 Chinese cameras in Melbourne will not be removed; there might be an audit.

Of course, we all know where Angry's loyalty lies. He had to be stopped by the federal government from doing a B&R deal with the Chinese Communist Party; and the ASIO DG mentioned that one of the reasons that he believed some high profile Australians wanted tracking foreign interference eased back was what information the foreign spies might have on Australians.

Following the ASIO report, that other friend of China, Paul Keating, has verbally run amok again, calling Australians "Little Americans". I suppose he wants us to be Little Chinese: like him?

People are getting sick and tired of the Little Aussie Battler and our number one Spook popping up every so often with his code reds of unsubstantiated dire warnings about the unnamed large military power of the 'Yellow Peril' type directly to our north. Next thing you know he'll be like Crazy Joe, warning us of Balloons of Mass Destruction heading our way.

Good thread topic ttbn. Did you see Pres Trumps recent post about Chinese Spy "Christina" Fang Fang and her horizontal folk dancing with a US Democrat Politician on the Intelligence Committee. Doing some research the Chinese seem to have a "Whole Of Society" approach to warfare and intelligence operations. At first glance you might think that China was opening up to the possibility that there is something beyond Maoism but alas- it seems to be the opposite.
