Some news on Transport NSW, the mob the Coalition awarded the contract to run 'Sydney Buses' are in meltdown, they cannot meet performance standards by a factor of 10 some days 20. They have applied to the Minister to change to a Sunday timetable with peak hour variations, that will cause absolute chaos for the travailing public. The investigation into the operator has recommended the contract be torn up and the bus system be returned to State Transit, the government operator. The Coalition is desperately trying to keep a lid on things until after the state election in March.

p/s State Transit would get into a flap if their run time variation and cancellation exceeded the bench mark 0.5% for this private mob it has been as high as 40%, normal day 105 to 20%. They though they would come in, make the big cuts, and it would all be super profits. How wrong they were. Driver training has gone out the window, with introduced cuts.

p/p/s My son tells me they are desperate, employing imbeciles, the new depot manager came from a two bob operation out west with 20 buses to running an outfit with 450 buses, totally lost. One new female driver who had never driven anything bigger than a small automatic car, had 4 accidents in her first 3 days on the road. There are new divers who can't even reverse park, and they are being let loose on Sydney's streets!

And yet, many are still against a National Service where young people could ease into acquiring life skills & get housed, fed & paid whilst doing so !
Stop blaming the unskilled ignorant when the selfish & greedy are doing everything they can to be kept in the public Service whilst they deny the young a start in life.

Perrotted wasn't Premier when he attended a party dressed in hindsight bad taste. Focus on the bureaudroids that ARE in power dressed as politicians when they're mere useless selfish incompetents !
