The 2023 women’s World Cup shows Australia’s love of football and our maturity as a nation : Comments

By Chris Lewis, published 14/8/2023

Australia has come a long way since the 1970s when football was often described as wogball, Melbournians described the rugby codes as open air wrestling, and the northern states (NSW and Queensland) viewed Australian Rules as aerial ping pong.

Dear Paul1405, So keep the sheeple entertained while you continue selling them out to Communist China?

ima, you are a sad little fellow with your Pol Pot style philosophy. I suppose you seen old Pol as a centralist moderate just like yourself. btw, Pol didn't like sport either, well not in the traditional sense, he also believed in the liberal use of the firing squad.

Paul1405, after the communist chinese take over i will be inside a labour camp munching on my bowl of rice while Pol Pot's team entertain us by torturing the likes of you.

After every successful communist takeover, the collaborators are always the first to go, because they know too much & have proven themselves to be untrustworthy.

Your service to the Australia Last Party is getting you nowhere fast.

Who said you're getting a bowl of rice? You can eat what's in your undies, before getting any of the peoples rice!

I have never been much of a spectator. I'd rather compete at any level, local small town or international level all good, than watch even the best professionals play their sport.

When it comes to team games that are often decided by a penalty shoot out, I'd rather go water the garden.
