Secret talks paving way for Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine : Comments

By David Singer, published 3/3/2023

Amazingly – Jordan's King Abdullah, Hamas's Ismail Haniyeh, PLO Leader Mahmoud Abbas and Saudi Crown Prince – now Prime Minister - Mohammed Bin Salman - have not rejected the Saudi Solution.

They were done in secret, because like most dirty deals done in the dead of night, they needed to be inadmissible. And there lies the problem and the subsequent silence by key player, Jordan.

I mean it seems to be being made responsible without prior consultation. As for the two-state solution? It would seem to be Israel and then Israel. With various Bedouin camps/homes/shanties, being declared illegal in their own country and traditional land.

The two-state solution is not dead, save in the minds of some Israeli officials with dubious reputations? And one clearly obsessed Singer and storyteller?

Dear Alan,

I am very disappointed with you.
You disturbed our patient again and were the first to do so this week - he needs peace and quiet, he will not recover otherwise and this way we would have to keep him in our hospital longer and longer.

Please, if you have to say something, can you do so elsewhere?

Dear Yuyu,
While I agree with your philosophy on this matter I fear it is too tragic a subject to be spoken (Ewritten) of lightly.
After all the lives and future of many Palestinians is in the balance.
But then again I suppose they never were worth much in the eyes of people like the writer and Benny, were they?.

Ditto to Yuyu.

Off Topic - happy European Day of the Righteous* to all. That Day falls on 6 March, every year.

* The European Day of the Righteous is a celebration established in 2012 by the European Parliament to commemorate those who have stood up against crimes against humanity and totalitarism with their own moral responsibility. By this celebration the concept of Righteous as worked out by Yad Vashem is broadened to all genocide cases and forms of totalitarianism thanks to the commitment of Moshe Bejski.

The European day of the Righteous is celebrated every year on 6 March, the anniversary of Moshe Bejski's** death.

**Moshe Bejski (1921 – 2007) was a Polish-born Israeli Supreme Court Justice and President of Yad Vashem's Righteous Among the Nations Commission.

After surviving the Holocaust with the help of Oskar Schindler
Bejski immigrated to Israel. In 1961, he testified about his experiences during the Holocaust during the trial of Adolf Eichmann.

As President of the Righteous Commission from 1975 to 1991, Bejski helped honor thousands of Holocaust rescuers.

Dear Ateday and Maverick,

There is nothing you or I can do about Palestinians, the holocaust and the like, but what we can do is to cure our patient by giving him enough peace and quiet, otherwise he will become agitated again and again and never be able to leave our hospital. OLO has accommodated him since 2008 and he is still not cured because our members keep coming and disturbing his treatment. Moreover, his monthly bouts of madness have now become weekly.

So let us do what we can, not what we cannot. Thank you.

I can understand how shell shocked you both are to hear of the secret back-channel negotiations for the last two months between Netanyahu and Abbas - which goes a long way to help explaining what I have been writing about during that time - the remarkable failure of Abbas (and King Abdullah, Ismail Haniyeh and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman) to reject the Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine solution since its publication nine months ago.

Alan Bs damaged brain is evidenced by his latest nonsensical statement: "The two-state solution is not dead, save in the minds of some Israeli officials with dubious reputations? And one clearly obsessed Singer and storyteller?"

Another person similarly obsessed is Thomas Friedman Op Ed writer for the New York Times:

"A week of reporting from Israel and the West Bank has left me feeling that the prospect for a two-state solution has all but vanished. But no one wants to formally declare it dead and buried — because categorically ruling it out would have enormous ramifications. So, diplomats, politicians and liberal Jewish organizations pretend that it still has a faint heartbeat. I do as well. But we all know that the two-state option is not in a hospital. It’s in hospice. Only a miracle cure could save it now."

Another is Israeli journalist Dimi Reider:
"The two state-solution in Israel-Palestine is dead, and its erstwhile champions—liberal Zionists and foreign diplomats, mainly—are clinging to an obsolete political program, leaving the field wide open to the Israeli right and far right to shape reality as they please."

#Yuyutsu - what say you to this clearly-demented #Alan B?

#Yuyutsau - you are giving you #Alan B the right advice: "Please, if you have to say something, can you do so elsewhere?"

I hope #Yuyutsu that you also take your own advice and join #Alan B on another author's site on OLO where both of you are free to post your wacky self-opinionated, false and unsubstantiated views unchallenged to your hearts' content.
