Well we may not agree here (on China specifically), but the 'Deep State' are the bureaucrats or 'shadow government' who ensure that Americas foreign policy stays on track no matter which party or individual is currently in office.
- And that's why they hated Trump, he didn't really go along with the policies of these people, who wanted Hillary in office to continue their agendas.

You'll always find these people (Lieberman is no longer in office and McCain passed away from cancer) going overseas to give support (money and weapons) to some less than ideal opposition in relation to the US conducting regime changes.
- And they're more bi-partisan for Deep State agendas and the Military Industrial Complex than they are actually loyal Republicans or Democrats.
If you watch a few minutes of this video, you'll have a better understanding of how the US funds dissident groups and conducts regime changes - you'll even see how they're trying to surround and contain China.

Whether it be Syria, Myanmar, Ukraine, Taiwan etc, you'll find a handful of the same US Senators visiting to impose US foreign policy and pledge support, and Lindsay Graham is probably now the most senior of these.

The best thing Charlie can do for Australia, is keep the hell out of here, not mention us, not make any reference to Australia what so ever. Treat us like we don't exist, in that way we can get on running our own country and dealing with our own problem, like responsible adults should.

As a last act, Charlie should invite his man in Australia, the GG to London for an extended holiday at Buck House, say for 20 years, in that way we can get on with asserting our true identity as a people totally free from a British colonial past in a new enlightened republic of the people, for the people.
