The problem with local Chinese is that Bejiing influences the Chinese language press in Australia. The other problem is that we don't know which Chinese are loyal to Australia, as many are, and which are loyal to Beijing. It all comes back to the utter stupidity of multiculturalism. As Dan says, the only way to be sure would be to intern the lot in case of conflict. Our own politicians have brought this threat on us, and all the crap about Chinese market gardeners being here since gold rush days is irrelevant to the CCP and Beijing supporters here now. We need to take a deep breath and do all we can to resume our once respectful and mutually-rewarding diplomatic and trading relationships as soon as possible. You can start with the fact that China obviously created a Frankenstein virus using western technology given to it freely by the French, Bronwyn, and they probably accidently released it among heir own community. With the virus spreading in China the Chinese scientists responsible "disappeared" (to shut them up) and then the Chinese deliberately allowed the virus to travel overseas to infect the entire world. If it was not deliberate, then they sure have some explaining to do.

China has stolen IP from its enemies and then blamed them for being upset at the ongoing thefts. China's treatment of Uigyars, its brutal crackdown on Hong Kong's democracy movement, its disregard for other nations' legitimate territorial claims in the North Indonesian and West Philippines Sea (it isn't the south china sea!) combined with the enormous environmental destruction it has caused in the marine environment, it's takeover of Tibet....the list of China's unacceptable actions is simply ignored or dismissed as reasonable by the communist hierarchy when most of them are crimes against humanity.
