Why Porter can’t claim victory after dropping ABC defamation case : Comments

By Augusto Zimmermann, published 3/6/2021

The case was always going to be difficult to prove because it rested primarily on whether a casual reader would know 'beyond any doubt' that the unnamed cabinet minister was actually Porter.

Hi Alan B & Steve S,

Anybody who looks objectively at this case can see "beyond a shadow of doubt" that Christian Porter was 100% innocent of ALL allegations.

The ruling, leftist elites gleefully pursue allegations against ALL males who are not radical, extreme left wing, which they KNOW in advance are false.

Motive #1:- Leftist don't hate males. Leftists hate traditional families. Males whether boys or men, are merely collateral damage in the Marxist Matriarchy's war against the traditional family.

Motive #2:- Leftists don't hate males. Leftists hate freedom & democracy. Leftists WANT Australia to be colonised by Communist China. Males are merely collateral damage in Leftism's war against modern, western civilisation.

It's that simple.

I suggest allegations were payback by the ABC for when Porter as AG authorised a police raid in June 2019. The ABC may also have been in a snit over George Pell's successful appeal so they wanted to land another big fish. Yet another motive for the ABC is solidarity with the sisterhood in their new woke format.

Personally I'd like to see the ABC smacked down in a way that would take them years to recover from. Currently their role seems to be as a taxpayer funded muckracker combined with a retinue of darlings dispensing moral superiority. Watch Q&A tonight to see if it isn't so.

Taswegian and farrightloonyindenial,

You seem to be suggesting the ABC made up the allegations! In reality all they did was report the allegations had been made - they didn't even say who against.

The ABC were merely doing their job, and doing it far better than Porter did his. If he's politically finished now, all I can say is good riddance!

Dear Taswegian,

Rubbish mate. The ABC reported directly on the facts of the case.

“Australian Federal Police have been notified of a letter sent to Prime Minister Scott Morrison detailing an alleged historical rape by a Cabinet Minister in the federal government.
The letter requests urgent action be taken by the Prime Minister to investigate the alleged rape, which occurred in 1988 before the accused man entered politics.
The matter has also been referred to the Australian Federal Police.
The letter was forwarded to AFP Commissioner Reece Kershaw by Labor's Leader in the Senate, Penny Wong, and Greens Senator Hanson-Young, who were also recipients of the letter.
Four Corners understands that Commissioner Kershaw has briefed South Australia Police and NSW Police.
The letter, shared with Four Corners by a friend of the complainant, attaches a detailed statement prepared by the complainant for her lawyer about the brutal rape she alleges took place.”
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-02-26/pm-senators-afp-told-historical-rape-allegation-cabinet-minister/13197248

All pretty bloody straight forward.

What would you have preferred them to do? Ignore the story? How? They were given a copy of the letter set to politicians and police by a friend of the complainant. Should they have binned it?

You seem to be putting that the story be squashed just because it was a coalition minister. How does that work in your mind?

Hi Aidan, The ABC were NOT doing their job...

The allegations were 100% false, completely unfounded, without ANY evidence or basis in verifiable facts. It was KNOWN in advance that the female making these allegations was "NOT of sound mind" & highly likely to have made it all up.

EVERY week 1 out of 10 domestic violence orders involves a case of real DV.

1 out of 10 domestic violence orders involve a male telling deliberate, premeditated lies about his intimate partner, committing acts of DV purely for financial gain during the property settlement.

& 8 out of 10 domestic violence orders involve a female telling deliberate, premeditated lies about her intimate partner, committing acts of DV purely for financial gain during the property settlement.

But of course you already knew that & want Australia to become a failed state.

Hi SteeleRedux, The ABC KNEW that "the facts of the case" were NOT facts & pursued dodgy allegations anyway.

Leftists lie & people die. All fail the fascist left.

farrightloonyindenial,
The ABC were certainly doing their job. Though the allegations weren't proven, the ABC made it pretty clear they were just allegations not proof. As for their credibility, it is multiple orders of magnitude higher than your claim that 9 out of 10 DVOs are based on lies for financial gain.

Your claim that I want Australia to become a failed state couldn't be further from the truth. I want Australia to be a land of truth, opportunity and a fair go for all. Why i that so hard for you to understand?
