We could claim to be British up to the Great Asianization Period (1980-2020) but after 40 years of Asianization aka Australian Multiculturalism we can no longer do that.

I used "English" merely as an example to demonstrate your flawed logic, to indicate what nonsense one could arrive at by picking at just one arbitrary lesser characteristic (in your case it was multiculturalism): we also share that much with monkeys - perhaps going by the number of bananas we eat in Australia we could say that Australia is a version of the monkey kingdom?
