Anyone believing that stopping our coal & iron ore exports to China will "hurt" them is kidding themselves. For well over 20 years, much of that exported has been placed on the bottoms of their harbours, rivers & estuaries in wait for such announcement. Likewise believing what the CCP reports about such shortages "causing hardship for its comrades" should be taken as more propaganda. Their scientists have developed techniques to recover and remove the saline contaminants and reclaim the coal & iron ore for later use. The high grade of our iron ore can be supplemented from their new suppliers of lower grade ores from South America & Africa.
