Dear Alison Jane,
Let's try and get your poor addled brain around the issue. You will remember the question was “Do elites rule at the ABC?”. The 'rulers' of any corporation are the board. They employ of sack the CEO. They set the direction of the organisation and the Chair has enormous power. In the case of the ABC many have been either right wing political hacks or right wing agitators like Windshuttle. What he was suppose to bring to the table who knows. So the question is do these right wing elites rule the ABC? Of course they do, just like in any other corporation. My favourite political commentator right now has repeatedly called out the ABC for rightwing bias. He makes the point that the Liberals really don't want to privatise the ABC because they control it. He has a point. http://youtu.be/HtV-2X4BjQI http://youtu.be/TWXDGGWB3Mw http://youtu.be/bOKf0pWpoQg Although to be fair he also calls out the elitism as well. I wonder what the cries of Labor would have sounded like if the Coalition had gone about buying votes as Labor did ?
And, please don't deny that creating thousands more Public Service positions for guaranteed voter support isn't vote buying ! Posted by individual, Sunday, 1 November 2020 7:47:05 PM
