It'll cost us billions to set up, annual billions we could find if we became a safe repository for the world's mountainous nuclear waste. And then be paid annual ongoing billions for providing the service. For storing a product that is mostly unspent fuel, 90-95%! And given the amount, good for centuries of export incomes in annual trillions, unmatched by any other export we could ever produce ever.
After that, we could even export trillions of gallons of desalinated, potable water! Doable with the outlined energy and new space age desal!
Some of which would transport as hydrogen split from the cracked water molecule! And converted to pristine pure water when burnt/used in the target energy market!
All that stands in the way are the politicians with personal investments they are trying to protect? If there's any other logical reason? It entirely escapes me!
And there seems to be form? And still no federal ICAC? It's all blather, blather, excuses, finger-pointing and blame-shifting, as several economic opportunities of a lifetime, for the nation, goes begging.
And because they all (control freaks all) want to lead? And not a real leader among them, to bless ourselves with? The results and outcomes speak for themselves and speak volumes only blind Freddy can't see?
And don't get me started on thorium and the virtual free production of miracle cancer cure, and the quite massive medical tourism we could direct to the emptying out, outback!
Talk about talking to folk who never listen and are science free zones, catering to self-interest and or, powerful vested interest
I mean when was the last time a politician listened, then remarked, hey, that's a good idea? I rest my case.
