By Keith Suter, published 29/7/2020I would then joke that, despite his brilliant business career, Hoover presided over the slide into the Great Depression. Would Trump go the same way?

'When the media expose Trump's lies, why do you always side with the liar?'
yeah Aiden Trump has certainly been caught out lying but only a fraction of the lies he has exposed the leftist lying media and swamp telling. Three years of Russian delusion and still no apology. Reporting numerous fake race crimes, Ukraine delusion, fake rape claims against potential judges, 'peaceful' protests, racist claims for stopping flights from Wuhan when China virus started to spread. (need any more examples?) Yep Trump like you and me have told lies but nothing compared to the tantrum throwing swamp. I don't approve of any lies. Surely if you the academic you claim to be you would of seen it over and over again. Why do you always support the lies of the lying liberal media. I have caught you out a number of times. Remember you claimed the who had not tweeted that the China virus has no human to human transmission. You just disappeared when given evidence. I take it that it has been deleted from facebook and the twitter sewer now! Posted by runner, Wednesday, 29 July 2020 4:19:57 PM

Who knows? You can fool some of the people all of the time! And these are the same folk who'll likely decide the election?
And who is going to queue to vote? The new Nazis, the redneck racists, the armed hooligans? Alan B. Posted by Alan B., Wednesday, 29 July 2020 5:28:47 PM

The author says..."Under US electoral law, there will need to be three televised debates between the candidates"
That's factually incorrect. The debates are convention but not law. I expect Biden's people to try to get out of them at some point. So factually incorrect. Keep that in mind when reading the article. Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 29 July 2020 5:43:55 PM

Suter is right about Trump becoming "part of the "Washington swamp" of corrupt politics"
_________________________________________ Checkout "Trump/Russia: Follow the money (1/3) Four Corners, June 17, 2018 at http://youtu.be/XwvjkJXaIJE Transcript http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/trumprussia:-follow-the-money/9840958 "NEWSREADER: Remember the 80s...especially the Donald? The man who was the darling of the 80s, is seen in the 90s as a man in trouble and he knows it. TIM O'BRIEN, BLOOMBERG: Trump found himself on the financial precipice. He had guaranteed personally almost 900 million dollars in loans. He owed some of the biggest banks in the US about three point six billion dollars and he couldn't pay back any of it. SARAH FERGUSON, REPORTER: Attorney Ken McCallion fought Trump for underpaying contractors on the iconic Trump Tower - but his first experience with him was in the 1970s. KEN MCCALLION, ATTORNEY: I knew the Trump organisation back when I was a prosecutor. His attorney was Roy Cohn. Roy Cohn went on to become basically a mob lawyer, a very good one, but still an organised crime lawyer in New York. He basically became a mentor for Donald Trump. ...KEN MCCALLION, ATTORNEY: When [TRUMP] he had about four bankruptcies, particularly the New Jersey casinos, a lot of the traditional sources of cash or investment moneys, mainly US banks didn't want anything to do with the Trump organization with Trump at that point. SARAH FERGUSON, REPORTER: Not for the first time in his chequered career Trump got lucky - a new source of revenue was flowing into the international real estate market from Russia. DIANA PILIPENKO, ANTI-CORRUPTION EXPERT: After the collapse of the Soviet Union, billions of dollars left Russia. We see this incredible capital flight happening at this time and money is going into, across the globe, but really, a lot of it goes into international capitals, into real estate. KEN MCCALLION, ATTORNEY: All the Trump projects were largely financed, predominately financed well over 50% with Russian and former Soviet Union financial and money cash sources. TIM O'BRIEN, BLOOMBERG: "DONALD TRUMP JUNIOR famously said most of the family's assets are coming from RUSSIA..." Posted by plantagenet, Wednesday, 29 July 2020 6:55:04 PM

That claim is so absurd that I have to check:

>Politicians merely react to the consumer's ability to pay !
That claim is so absurd that I have to check: is that what you really believe (rather than just an instinctive defence of your position)?
If so, how do you imagine they react?

runner,
I suppose being corrupt at the highest levels while in the media spotlight technically counts as uncovering corruption, but I doubt that's what you meant.
When the media expose Trump's lies, why do you always side with the liar?
