The problem with that analysis mhaze is that there is a civil war within the Democrat party between the Old Guard like Pelosi and the radicals like AOC. Remember when AOC was one of a bunch of morons who picketed Pelosi's office because they said that Pelosi was not radical enough? Of course the saner elements of the Democrats know how idiotic this proposal is, but the hysterical younger and stupid elements think it is a great idea.

They even believe in Socialism, fer Christ's sake.

Even AOC is running for cover on this one. It must be the dumbest of ideas if even she can see its flaws.

Looking at it seriously, each little town on a highway has a police
force. I think such a large number (18,000) of very small police forces
encourages corruption and mates running the town their way.
They have State police forces as well so perhaps the town ones could
be incorporated into each state force.
Larger organisation at the top might encourage more professionalism.

Police in the US are out of control.
Part of that problem is the US focus on foreign wars and surplus weapons being fed into police forces to militarise them.
Another part of the problem is an attitude where police always defend police in a gang mentality so that no good police will stand against bad behaviour from fellow police,
Finally a mentality where the only thing that matters is a show of force, treating the public any way they wish with their only aim to make it home from work, rather than put themselves in harms way to serve and safeguard the greater community.

That said Black Lives Matter and Antifa have political connections to the Democratic Party and military intelligence and the people who conduct overthrows of foreign leaders.

An easy case in question in Joe Biden and his son Hunter in Ukraine after that countries leader was overthrown.

Antifa is a global coloured revolution network.
Its the Muslim Brotherhood network rebranded and the dark hand that runs it lies within the US government itself.

Trump is not being given intelligence on these threats by Antifa as they are run from within the US itself by other members of government that oppose him.

The problem is that they want you to choose one side of the other.
They want you taking a position and infighting so they can push forward their own agendas.

The way to win is to not choose a side.

I read recently about how that old wives tale about all the things
that mobile phones can do to you, has been resurrected because the
number has been changed from 4G to 5G.
There are a number of ratbag ideas floating about, gender can be what
you like, anti vaccination, delete police forces, burn some books,
make some films unavailable. Etc etc etc, you have heard it all.
I have just twigged what is the cause of it all.

It is the poor education of our school teachers.
Particualy in science. Not having any common sense instruction that
illustrates that some ideas are impossible or impractical they are
unable to see that many ideas are ridiculous so they pass them onto
their students. Reports of results being boosted to get students into
further education can be understood otherwise those teachers would
have to be sacked.

This problem turns up everywhere, look at the number of people who
cannot raise and argument either way about energy generation.

It is no wonder that Australian education has such a poor rating.
