Assange's crime was telling the truth.

The problem I find with new technology is that the way it's rolled out is with a 'sell' attitude to the potential benefits.
But what they don't advertise is how all this technology is also going to be used against us and make us completely enslaved.

Useful idiots will say hey that's a great idea think of the benefits;
- The thing they don't realise is they were never rolled out for these implied benefits in the first place, that's just how they got you to go along with it.

All data will go to a fusion centre, where they will collate data from different areas.
Banking history and spending habits and wealth and investments,
Phone and email history, who you talk to, private information regarding your business activities,
Transport where you go, where you work, who you see,
Social Media - who you associate with and your social beliefs

Every single person on the planet profiled and monitored in real time by AI.

I have lived in one of those areas for 20 years now, and these arrogant egos in spandex are getting worse. We shan't get them of the roads (as many are public servants) so lets manage and constrain them. Licences, tests, rego checks, rego, insurance, licence plates, mirrors and FINES.

If FR (or AR) helps, then bring it on! It might not improve their road behaviour, but it will hurt their pockets, make them behave and take the smug grins of their faces

Assange a truth-teller!? Like you mean about his sexual exploits in Sweden and the real reason he self-exiled in an Ecuadorian Embassy?

Or the fact he is not a credentialled investigative Journalist with official qualifications, just a bail jumping criminal computer hacker with absolutely no respect for the property or privacy rights of others?

Did what he did from purely profit and ego-driven reasons, not any semblance of ethics as some seek to claim?

I'll give him credit for those Iraq war crimes exposure, but that's where his alleged, ethical truth-telling starts and ends.

He claims his other exposures of allied operatives have had no proven negative consequences for lack of evidence that it has? But is completely silent on the lack of any verifiable evidence to the contrary! Because, there simply isn't any, nor verification of the opposite!

We just don't know either way! And who is going to tell us? Those who are/were the enemy and the current source of alleged information?

Hell is going to freeze over before I'll believe Assange, except were his evidence on all the above matters to be tested via the descried, unbeatable, space-age, lie detection technology! And here we have a creature whose ego is so inflated? He likely believes he could beat it!?

Oh for that day and the completed impartial and validated release of that documentary! I've got several hats that'd be on the menu!

But neither (shovelling it by the shipload) Assange or any( mudslinging blame-shifting) pork pie telling pollie is going to volunteer for that!? Given it would expose a web of lies?

And highly dysfunctional narcissistic egoists, whose hugely inflated egos are a danger to shipping!? And the economic/emotional well being of the nation!

Facial recognition is good enough to eyeball your retinas and close up. so there is a bio that is yours and yours alone and able to be crossed referenced via tour laptop or phone camera?

So those spandex thugs who know no road law or require even a basic licence to be on commuter laden roads, nor registration that would at least allow the authorities, who to fine take demerit points off of, will still be found out and or have their highway privileges revoked?

For mine, cyclists are road rage terrorists on both footpaths and highways and should be forced to ride single file only and in the designated bike-only lanes or bikeways! The latter being preferable, given the menace to registered road users doing the regular commute or business travel!

Finally, what say u about skateboarders out on sloping roads, all but flying downhill and only able to swerve to avoid collisions? And a menace all round and to all other road users!

Who'd be the driver if a kid on a runaway skateboard was splattered all over their bodywork? Or worse, condemned to a life as a living vegetable the rest of their days, in an institution?

As usual Alan you make these outlandish claims without ever bothering to offer supporting data. Just stuff you've read somewhere, probably misunderstood or fallen for partisan propaganda.

In a recent paper from The Academy for Scientific Investigative Training, it was found that polygraph is accurate 95% of the time IF the person hasn't been taught how to bet the polygraph. Remember how Christine Blasey Ford (Kavanaugh's accuser) had been trained by an FBI friend to beat the polygraph?

The same paper found that other techniques were little better than around 50% accurate. A long long way from unbeatable.

The thing is that all these stratagems assume that everyone is emotionally the same and wired the same. And it just ain't so.
There are cultural issues and physiological issues and emotional issues and muscle ticks and myriad other reasons why a machine cannot see into the heart and soul of a subject.

I have always spoken negatively about bike riders.
Forget any emotional reasons, such as I just don't like posers, and especially those who get their way at the expense of everyone else.
I have said previously, even though I don't condone their existence, but they are of no useful purpose to mankind in any way.
If they must exist, I have suggested they use the back streets, where the speeds are more within their range, and the traffic is negligible.
But NO, the spoilt and petulant little turds, are not going to take a good suggestion that will minimize their risk of injury or death because they just won't be told.
Well, I have offered my ideas again and again, to no avail.
SO then I will now accept they are just stupid, sick, petulant children, and so I say, let's go for them.
Yes knock them over, let them taste the real results of their arrogance.
I don't know about you, but I can't measure a metre on the left of my car whilst driving it from the right seat.
So I dare some stupid cop and prosecutor to make a case to find me guilty of anything.
We need a few deaths for the idiots to realise they stuffed up and like all these pathetic minorities, pushed it too far.
