eclaring mission accomplished in the context of the continuing unfolding tragedy being inflicted on the Syrian people is cynical and disheartening at best.

The dying in Syria, rests, on the conscience of the warring Arab tribes, And Isis.

Assad is very much supported by the Allawarte tribe, in Syria. It is the Sunni Arab tribes that stormed Damascus that started the conflict.

I heard one of the so called Moderate Sunni rebels say on the news that it wasnt Isis they were interested in defeating, like America was, they wanted America to attack only Assad.
Seems blood is thicker than water among the Arab Sunni tribes, whether they be Isis
or so called moderate Sunni rebels.

Why doesnt Ben Meir, jump into uniform and put his own life on the line to stop the tribes killing each other. He doesnt mind putting American kids lives on the line.

Those who have been keeping an eye on news and views about Syria from sources other than what western powers want believed via the western mainstream media that peddles a lot of misinformation on behalf of banksters, corporations, the military industrial complex and the Israel lobby realise the situation is vastly different to what many people in the west have been misled into accepting.

For a start, the supposed chemical attack by Syrian forces on their own people was quickly recognised by many cynics as a "false flag" atrocity from the start. Staged by the "White Helmets", a propaganda unit operating in terrorist controlled areas which was set up by MI6 and funded by western governments. Is NOT a genuine Syrian civil defence organisation.

The Syrian Arab Army of the legitimate Government, with support from Russia, Iran and Hezbellah has been progressively removing foreign supported terrorists from its territory. The latter in East Ghouta, Damascus were desperate for more support recently before their quicker than expected defeat. Apparently eleven British officers advising them were captured earlier and are now in high security jails around Syria. It seems half a dozen US SAS commando types were killed in a failed attempt to rescue more foreign military personnel. Their deaths being "officially" explained as due to some event in Northern Syria.

One of the agendas of the missile strike ordered by Trump and British and French leaders (all without authorisation of their parliaments!) was to help possibility of rescue of their covert operatives. Turned out was too late after rapid progress by Syrian Army. Trump also would have been under strong pressure from neocons and the Israel lobby in the US to "do something" to try and stop terrorists they had sponsored to try and achieve "regime change" in Syria being routed.

Quote: Even though it is difficult for Trump to comprehend that Muslims are not inherently violent, if not outright terrorists, the US cannot relinquish its moral obligation and behave like a pariah state.

Oh? I thought that Quran 9:111 stated that Muslims were put on earth to "kill and be killed". I guess the author thinks that killing is not really related to violence.

The fact is that Syria is hopeless. Nothing can be done that will improve the lives of those retched people because the players that seek to dominate that country (Turkey, Russia, Iraque, ISIS, US, the West, anybody and everybody)care only about power and keeping others from gaining power. When you take a stick and mess with (OLO said to remove the profanity here), you get more (more profanity).

And why the West? Is it that Western culture requires a conscience, but not those of other countries and cultures? It seems that Islamic nations are exempt from any responsibility for the mess that they have made. Taking refugees only spreads the problem around, bring the problems created by Islamic nations to the West.

I repeat, Syria is hopeless.

There will be no peace in the middle east until the last Arab has died.

Why the hell would we want to stop them removing the stain on the planet their stupidity generates where ever their kind exist?

Well, there you go, Alon-ben Meir. You are condemning the western powers for doing nothing about genocide on Syria. But according to "Mox", the west is involved right up to their necks, and right there in the thick of it already. Could you lefties please get your stories straight before you come on OLO with your ridiculous virtue signalling and bizarre conspiracy theories?

Mox, are you really a colonel in the KGB? I though you KGB boys were better at propaganda than that? Perhaps you should get Directorate 5 (the wet job boys) to liquidate Alon ben Meir for stuffing up your credibility?
