To be fair to the ABC it did indeed point out that the the law did not exist in Israel and never has - when issuing its official response to the article in the Daily Mail claiming that Israel had been deliberately wiped off the map.

My complaint and concerns about what happened at the ABC were forwarded to Media Watch, ABC News and ABC Television by Audience and Consumer Affairs for their consideration on about 26 October.

I would hope their responses to Audience and Consumer Affairs will be sent to me. Why it has already taken at least three weeks is a mystery to me.

The sooner these responses are made - the sooner this unsavory incident can be corrected and clarified by a public announcement from the ABC.
