By Max Atkinson, published 5/6/2017

Why does US policy insist on annual military exercises, meant to simulate an armed invasion of North Korea?

Now let's see.

North Korea tied to land 15 tons of heroin on an Australian beach in Victoria and the ship was chased and captured by the RAN.

North Korea bombed a KAL 747 and killed 0ver 400 South Korean passengers and crew.

It bombed a South Korean diplomatic mission in Burma and killed South Korean diplomatic personnel.

It shelled South Korean fishing villages that nothing more military or hostile in them but fishing boats and killed South Korean civilians.

It torpedoed a South Korean warship on routine patrol in international waters.

It has violated every UN demand to cease production of ICBM and nuclear warheads.

North Korea sneaked soldiers over the South Korean border which planted land mines that killed South Korean soldiers on routine patrol.

But who is at fault here according to max Atkinson? Why it is the dastardly the USA of course.

Memo to Max. If you are going to write communist propaganda then the trick is to make it credible. Don't write crap that nobody believes. Everybody knows that South Korea and the USA conduct military exercises every year and they have good reason to. But they have never done anything to provoke North Korea and your claim that the exercises are meant to prepare for an invasion of North Korea sounds like total garbage to me.

North Korea is an outlaw state who would sell nuclear weapons and ICBM's to ISIS if they could and they probably will. South Korea is a democratic country who's people enjoy one of the highest lioving standards in the world.

As a right wing racist, I thank you for your efforts at convincing most people what complete loonies you lefties are. Please keep up the good work and keep writing your ridiculous rubbish, it helps my side immensely.

Hi Alan B

That was a beautiful suggestion. I think there should be a room for peace rather than war.

Dear Rollyczar,

So other than killing their oppressors, how do you propose to liberate the most oppressed people of North Korea who are locked there in concentration camps?

Forget about the external threats, forget even LEGO's long list of crimes against innocents outside NK: how can one ever sleep and not burn in agony knowing the terrible fate of ordinary North Koreans?

Death is far better an option than having to live there!

Yuyutsu

Why do we need to liberate the people of North Korea? Why did we need to liberate the people of Libya? Why did we need to liberate the people of Iraq? Why did we need to liberate the people of Afghanistan? Why do we need to liberate the people of Syria?

All this liberating is Western narcissistic fantasy. It hasn't liberated anyone. All this infernal sanctimonious liberating has done is to create millions of corpses, cripples, made rubbled ruins of once functioning societies and destroyed ancient cultures, families and lives. And it has led to blowback terror on Western populations - oops.

And how do you know that the North Koreans are the most miserable people on earth? Have you ever been there?

I make a rule of not losing my temper on OLO. But your nihilistic hubris is truly gross. Nuke North Korea in order to save it? To quote a Christian Crusader at the fall of Jerusalem almost a thousand years ago, when asked how they are supposed to tell who were the Christians and who were the Muslims, he answered: 'Kill them all. God will decide.'

There is a lot of poverty and misery in Australia too. Now why don't we ask our US pals to drop a nuke or two on Australia. Either we'll thank them for liberating us from misery and poverty ... or we won't. But it's not up to us. God will decide.
