By Peter Bowden, published 5/8/2016

Australia, of all nations, could be the first to show the world that people of many creeds and beliefs can live together in peace.

Interactive: The US has caused most of the world's refugees in recent years, and is likely to cause many more if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump becomes US president.

How do you work that out. If my memory serves me correctly, & it does, America went into Iraq at the insistence of the Free World because Saddam was killing his Citizens & they were flooding out of the Country in Droves. The same thing in Afghanistan. The Taliban were slaughtering everybody, Men, Women & Children. There was wholesale Genocide. Just like ISIS is doing now in Syria & Iraq. Refugees were flooding the World. The Afgan Government begged for help from the Free World.

So what happens. We get people like you twisting history to suit your own self serving anti Free World Socialist ideals. If you don’t like the Free World then go to some place where they will appreciate you brand of Free World Hate. Best of luck. But no, you’ve got it too soft here why should you put yourself out. Typical, typical.

I've been thinking of changing Jayb to Swizzlestick, wadda ya thunk.

Joe,
Have since found an email from Graham with a copy of the offending comment and I have to admit it was abusive. I did not think about it.

Maybe I will now be in the naughty book

Hello Banjo. Fancy meeting you here. Don't sweat it mate. I been kicked of Yahoo, & the Conversation. Apparently they are Socialist Greenie Groups that insist on you agreeing with their Authors or else.

Jayb & Banjo,

That's nothing, I've been kicked off Green Left Review and (I think, though maybe I just lost interest) New Matilda. Yes, the pseudo-Left is a broad church, one can get expelled from many of them. It's a badge of honour.

How does one discriminate between refugees ? I would have thought that the most oppressed, the most at risk, the most persecuted, should have first dibs. So Rohingya from Burma, Kurds from Iran and Turkey, Yazidis from Iraq, Christians from most Middle Eastern countries including Egypt, Eritrea and Sudan, and Muslims from Ethiopia, would qualify.

Or one could be 'even-handed' and take people who don't face any threat of death or imprisonment, as well as those who do. It's hardly rocket science. Double the intake by all means, but make very sure they are genuine.

Joe

This is the sort of subversive thinking which undermines any sensible approach to immigration. He does not even acknowledge the necessity to cease admission of muslims, or contribute any basis to avoid the disaster suffered by countries which have subjected themselves to the stupid policy he suggests.
At least he boosts support for Pauline Hanson, who will attract people seeking an antidote to this nonsense.
Is Peter Bowden an Australian?

One good piece of news is that the warmonger Obama is being sued for his war crimes.

And ironically, he is being sued by a member of his own army.

Al-Qaeda was supposed to have carried out the 9/11 attacks, (according to the warmonger US), and not the Taliban.

But I believe the warmonger US does not have a clue, and just likes to be at war.

And the warmonger US has been using Al-Qaeda as an excuse to launch wars in Afghanistan, and then Iraq, and even launch a war in Syria.

The warmonger US may eventually use Al-Qaeda to carry out a war on Iran or Russia or China.

The warmonger US did not get UN authorization to lunch its wars.

And the warmonger US has caused far more deaths and refugees than Al-Qaeda, Saddam Hussein and Bashar al-Assad combined.
