UN Security Council must get serious about destroying Islamic State : Comments

By David Singer, published 27/11/2015

That a Russian fighter plane could be shot down by Turkey – both members of the ISSG – highlights the continuing folly of failing to have one military force under one military commander.

Hey David talking about track records and human rights. Saudi Arabia is the most vile corrupt regimes on the planet that beheads people on a daily basis for minor crimes like religious non belief and the West backs them. Israel does like wise to the Palestinians in more subtle ways. Assad is an elected leader whom the West seeks to depose. Why do they not depose the Saudi fascists ?

The UN is a corrupt organisation, like the World Bank and IMF, all owned by central bankers. How will the UN bring peace to the Middle East when they push for more wars with NATO?

I disagree with your comment that America created this terrorist organisation

Their terrorism is based on pure racial and tribal hatred.
America sought to free them from the rule of Suddam Hussein not understanding
The tribal terrotorial hatred that existed between the Sunni and Shiite tribes.

America blundered in there, but the tribal racial hatred that resulted in the implosion of Iraq and the rise of Isis can be sheeted home to the hatred between the Sunnis and Shiites. Muslim hatred pure and simple.

Imacentristmoderate
Maybe my deterrent to terrorism is based on the Old Testament
You touch my family I'll penalise yours.
But at least I didn't advocate an eye for an eye in the sense of killing in
Retaliation for killing, only the forfeiting of Australian citizenship and comfortable life
here for deportation . These terrorists are prepared to sacrifice their own lives but
They may think twice before hurting their own families whom they love in any way.

There have to be deterrents that work, and I think, you touch Australian families
And we'll make yours suffer is probably one of the only measures that will work.

Anyway why should they have the right to murder our family members and their
Families have total immunity.

It may not fit civil liberties and the law, but it is common sense and it will work.
Common sense or the law?

Post your evidence to support these disgraceful claims by you:
"Saudi Arabia is the most vile corrupt regimes on the planet that beheads people on a daily basis for minor crimes like religious non belief and the West backs them. Israel does like wise to the Palestinians in more subtle ways."

Amnesty International's figures on executions and beheadings in Saudi Arabia - 175 in the past year -completely discredit your unsubstantiated claims:
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/saudi-arabia-executions-amnesty-international-beheadings-death-sentences-rate-under-king-salman-10470456.html

Saudi Arabia's record on human rights is appalling - but it gets blunted when idiots like you make wildly exaggerated claims that cannot be substantiated.

So far as Israel is concerned what do you mean when claiming "Israel does like wise to the Palestinians in more subtle ways."

Put up or shut up Jew-hater.

Regarding the above accusation of "Jew hater" re expression of opposition to the way the present state of Israel treats Palestinians: Seems to me many Jews are amongst those opposed to policies of the more ruthless of Zionist types that have unfortunately prevailed. In fact some object to the existence of a Jewish state. Including the Neturei Karta, orthodox Jews who maintain it is against their religion. There is /was on www.nkusa.org in a photo of a demonstration by them a placard proclaiming "Israel is not a Jewish State". Anyway, Israel has been caught out along with the USA and Turkey especially supporting Islamic State for their own selfish reasons. For unscrupulous Zionists it is a step towards the long term aim of a large Greater Israel between the Nile and Euphrates rivers by covertly trying to destroy governments representing the people in area they hope to take over.

Amazing, although I would expect as much from Arjay:

The US gave some support for Afghan groups against the Russians in the eighties, groups which later evolved into Islamist terrorist groups. Therefore the US supports ISIS.

Israel comes down hard on murderers stabbing old ladies in the back. Therefore it's as bad as the Saudi regime.

Israel doesn't overthrow the Saudi regime. Therefore Israel supports beheading.

Therefore Jews support ISIS.

It reminds me of a cartoon from years ago:

Step 1: A maths professor has put up a horrendously complex-looking problem for a student.

Step 2: The student writes "A miracle occurs".

Step 3: He then writes, "Therefore x = 3."

The professor comments, "I think you need to be more specific about Step 2."

Some of you paranoid reactionaries may need to be more specific about your Steps 2.

Good on you, David, keep battling against the rubbish :)
