Trioli points out that if anyone is truly in any doubt about
the genesis of this dreadful abuse of Goodes, then what rock
have they been living under?

And as we know this vilification has continued upon this man
run by some of the best-selling newspapers and most-read blogs
in the country. And guess what? as Trioli points out -
it's worked.

Many Australians have read the heavy, and sometimes really
terrible criticism of Goodes by Andrew Bolt in the Herald Sun,
and more lately Miranda Devine in the Telegraph and on various
radio programs in both cities. Bolt has been at it since
Goodes won Australian of the Year and as we know anyone who
thinks that this cumulative effect of his colums is unrelated
to this public attack, then they simply don't understand the power
of mass media.

The Adam Goodes saga is a big stain on the game and the AFL
knows it - but as Trioli asks - "Is the AFL big enough to cop
the financial loss that goes with meaning what they say?"

Fingers-crossed they are!

Windschuttle’s scholarly work on primary sources also uncovered the pathetic nonsense in Lyndall Ryan’s history of Tasmania. Ryan said words to the effect:”We all make up numbers” and, “Even if my sources are not right, I stand by my conclusions.”
