Don't blame Netanyahu for anti-Semitism : Comments

By Yury Glikin, published 20/5/2015

The focus of this media coverage in Australia and the world has, perhaps unsurprisingly, been largely around the negative aspects of Mr Netanyahu's campaigning and his inflammatory rhetoric leading up to election day.

In reply to an article which is clearly about nothing. I just have a point or two to make. The rest is not worth worrying about.

You say "Netanyahu's comments were cowardly and desperate."

They were no such thing and it appears that you too have believed the false narrative put out by the Israel haters.

What a shame that as a Jew you didn't bother to seek out the actual comments PM. Netanyahu made and in what context they were made.

First "there will be no Palestinian state"
This comment was made as part of a interview

He said “I think that anyone who is going to establish a Palestinian state today and evacuate lands is giving attack grounds to the radical Islam against the state of Israel.

Anyone who ignores this is sticking his head in the sand. The left does this time and time again,we are realistic and understand.”

He also said as part of that same interview
"there can be no democratic Jewish state unless there is also a Palestinian state."

This gave the twisted headline "there will be no Palestinian state"

The statement about "Arab citizens voting in droves" was to urge people to vote because the anti-Israel NGOs were paying for buses to take Arabs to polling booths, who in turn were being paid to vote.

Given Netanyahu's current carry on just to preserve him in power!?

Makes me want to click my heels, raise a stiff right arm and shout, sieg hiel, sieg hiel, sieg hiel, as the only appropriate response!?

Surely this power mad man, would get into bed with the devil, just to continue to wield control and continue to import his fully imported Gerrymander?

Which by the way, is all that prevents a peaceful resolution and the two state solution that will usher it in!
Rhrosty.

Dear Rhrosty,

<<Surely this power mad man, would get into bed with the devil>>

Which is literally what he does - her name is Sarah.
Bibi himself is not power-mad and had it not been her orders, he wouldn't care the least about remaining Prime-Minister.

Yuru

you write

'Hatred for Jews runs deep and goes a long way back through Christian and Muslim holy texts'

Strangley one who has read the old testament and new testament many times over I find no reference to Jew hating. Yes the Catholic and other denominations have ignorantly promoted anti semintism but please don't misrepresent the gospel message. Your generalisation is unhelpful. You need to educate yourself a little more. Also understand that while anti semitism is appalling you will find in Israel the orthodox Jews still persecute any Jews turning to Christ. MOst hatred for the Jews these days is promoted by leftist journalist continually misrepresent history and detest the easily observable fact that by God's help Israel has been able to turn a desert into a thriving foodbowl and well as produce many brilliant scientist.

I have no words to describe what a foul individual you are.
Anyone who would come out with the remarks you have comparing a Jew to a Nazi, should go straight to hell and rot there.

You are one sick cookie.

I take issue with the intemperate attack on Rhrosty. Certainly there are important similarities between Mr Netanyahu and Adolf Hitler, making each objectionable to non-participants concerned about justice.

First there’s the racial grouping of Jews as “special” according to ancestry which is parallel with Hitler’s racial grouping of people of German ancestry as “special”. Each believes his chosen racial group has a right on that basis to Lebensraum on others’ territory. Each has launched a murderous Drang nach Osten for territory. Each has arrogated to his group the right to expel people in large numbers from their own homeland, which each has stolen, and to deny them right of return. Each demonises armed resistance as “terrorism”.

The difference between the two supremacisms in one of scale and of the hideous crimes which flowed from the Nazis’ racist supremacism which thankfully have no parallel in Zionist racist supremacism. The Nazis didn’t allow a token presence of Poles in the Bundestag.

The hysteria over signs of Palestinian moves towards statehood is telling. A two state solution means two states with the same rights to sovereignty, secure borders, to control over who entered them, to maintain weaponry (including nuclear if one of the two insists on maintaining its own arsenal) without requiring the permission of the other, to import and export goods, to forge whatever alliances it wishes. Which one of the two would dismiss such a two state solution out of hand, as being “off the table”?
