The Easter answer to our messiah complex : Comments
By Adam Ch'ng, published 2/4/2015In just seven short years, we have swapped and dropped our Prime Ministers no less than four times. If Tony Abbott had been dumped by his party earlier this year, we would have outstripped even Italy’s prime ministerial turnover rate.

Slight correction to my previous post, the section on the resurrection starts just before the 6 minute mark.

JOYS OF CRUCIFIXION
G'day Robert Here is a much more historically accurate shorty on the benefits of: Crucifixion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EI7p2p1QJI Happy Easter Posted by plantagenet, Thursday, 2 April 2015 2:54:33 PM

plantagenet, I appreciate the work that went into capturing the historical detail and the range of issues covered in that video but it's probably a bit theologically heavy for most to cope with. Far better seen as part of the whole documentary to get the sense of how it all fit's together.

Hi R0bert
Being serious now, I, as a spiritual bean, return to Life of Brian, where the Crucifees are all secured with ropes, not nails, THE WIMPS. Then addressed by me mate the Centurian: "All right! All right! All right! We'll soon settle this! Hands up, all those who don't want to be crucified here." No hands up - problem solved. The truly Philosophical part is to this catchy tune in Living Colour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlBiLNN1NhQ : "Cheer up, Brian. You know what they say. Some things in life are bad. They can really make you mad. Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle, Don't grumble. Give a whistle. And this'll help things turn out for the best. And... Always look on the bright side of life. Always look on the light side of life. If life seems jolly rotten, There's something you've forgotten, And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps, Don't be silly chumps. Just purse your lips and whistle. That's the thing. And... Always look on the bright side of life. SEVERAL: [whistling] SEVERAL: Always look on the right side of life, [whistling] MR. FRISBEE: For life is quite absurd And death's the final word. You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin. Give the audience a grin. Life's a piece of shitt, When you look at it. Life's a laugh and death's a joke. It's true. You'll see it's all a show. Keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you. Always look on the bright side of death, [whistling] Just before you draw your terminal breath." Which I think is the essence of Christian belief at Easter. Words here http://www.montypython.net/brianmm3.php And the catchy tune in Living Colour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlBiLNN1NhQ Merry Easter to all :) Pete Posted by plantagenet, Thursday, 2 April 2015 5:15:44 PM

Warning not a video for those who get offended by the failings of christian beliefs being addressed (unless you really enjoy being offended).
