But just when it seemed that the Zionist camp would replace the nationalist camp, the crafty Netanyahu began pulling rabbits out of his hat.

The trouble with all the "peace-loving" posters here is that what they wish for, if it happens, will inevitably result in an apocalyptic cataclysm which nuclear proliferation will trigger.
Iran's ambitions extend far beyond its borders.
Australians, too, might become keenly aware of that.
In short, the antisemitic anti-Zionists will find soon enough that their support for genocidal Hamas, Iran, PA, ISIS will have been self-defeating.

Peace.

The mentality of those who refer to Israeli apartheid is the same mentality as that of the intellectual giants who refer to a Gazan population growth of 300,000 in 1967 to 2 million today as genocide.
Would that all of Israel's enemies were this smart.

So, Dane, once your Hamas and Iranian friends have disposed of Israel, will you come after the Jews in YOUR country?

Tree,

So far Israel's foreign policy is going exactly to plan. Israel managed to convince the stupid goyim in America to sacrifice their prestige, the lives of their young men and billions upon billions of dollars to bring chaos to the ME. Once stable countries are now racked by sectarian violence and extremism. Thousands of Americans died and hundreds of thousands of Arabs are dead. Hatreds have been sown that will last centuries.

But no matter. Israel's enemies are divided and fatally weakened. 'It was good for Israel.'

If only you could convince that stupid American to attack Iran. The chaos would last decades more. Many more hundreds of thousands of people would die. Islam would be even more in conflict with the west. Hatred would grow ever deeper.

Perfect! I hear you cry. It would be 'good for Israel.'

Let's hope the American just do what is right for the world this time.

Dear Dane and Tree,

I would go along with the principle "It would be good for Israel", but is it?

Adopting Apartheid principles is NOT good for Israel.
Ending up as one state with Palestinians is not good either for Israel.
Nor is increasing its dependence on America good for Israel.

While undoubtedly Israel should safeguard its physical existence, in doing so it must not abandon the moral grounds for its existence.

I agree with Tree that the Arabs/Palestinians will not give up their crusade to destroy Israel and truly accept a peaceful solution in the foreseeable future, as that would contradict Islamic principles. However, Israel is so mighty that giving away the occupied territories would not make a dent in its ability to defeat such aspirations. On the contrary, it will free its army to train and equip better without the ongoing burden of having to hold onto those territories as well as unite the country from inside against its enemies from outside.

Currently, when Arabs attack Israel, what prevents Israel from winning decisively and finishing them up are not military factors, but the objections of the global community. This can be helped if the world gives assurances to Israel that should it be senselessly attacked again even after it relinquishes all its occupied territories in good faith, then the world would no longer object and restrict Israel from dealing its attackers the fatal blows it can.
