By Neve Gordon, published 20/3/2015

But just when it seemed that the Zionist camp would replace the nationalist camp, the crafty Netanyahu began pulling rabbits out of his hat.

Out of his hat?

Are you sure they aren't coming from somewhere considerably lower down?

Hats don't usually smell as bad as that!?

Spare me please, you truly are pathetic “Revelations of corruption at the Prime Minister's residence”?
Really! How petty can you get?

CORRUPTION? Refunds on drink bottles?
“Palestinians were destined to remain stateless”

He NEVER said any such thing. Once again a media beat up from the Left and given your inbuilt hate of Israel and things Israel, you gobbled it up hook, line and sinker.

Try reading this and see what was missing from his interview and how it was misinterpreted.

The non-existent Palestinians never wanted peace and still don’t.

That’s the truth.

The Palestinian Authority calls all of Israel “occupied Palestine.”
In other words, it is all their land.

They even lay claim to the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism.

And both Hamas and Fatah advocate terrorism against Jews.

These are people who have been offered a State ever since the very beginning, but have declined every time--why?

Because they don't want to share the land with Jews; they want to dismantle the Jewish State and “send all the Jews into the sea.”

1948 they chose to go to war rather than accept the UN’s decision to partition Palestine between its Jewish and Arab populations.

5 Arab nations attacked the fledgling State and lost with Jordan and Egypt STEALING the land from their Arab brothers.

After the 1967 war Israel offered to relinquish the land it had acquired in exchange for peace with its neighbours, the Arab world’s response issued at a summit in Khartoum, was NOT ONE NO but THREE:

“No peace with Israel, no negotiations with Israel, no recognition of Israel."

2000, Camp David offered Arabs a sovereign state with shared control of Jerusalem and billions of dollars in compensation for Palestinian refugees.
Yasser Arafat refused the offer, and returned to launch the deadly terror war known as the Second Intifada.

2008 Ehud Olmert offered Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas a peace agreement that would have guaranteed a Palestinian state in virtually all the West Bank, Gaza, and part of Jerusalem. Once again, the Palestinians turned down the offer.

SF. Everything you state is 'spot on'. After unilateral withdrawal from Gaza, still claimed by Hamas as 'occupied', nothing but a reign of terror. Netanyahu could not "foresee" a 'Pelistinian state' under the present circumstances. Nore can I. With all of those professing to want a 'state', as posited by SF, sworn to the destruction of both Isreal and Jews world wide, how can anyone seriously contemplate a 'state' for those who's constitution includes the destruction of a neighbouring state?

In all the surrounding Arab 'States', how many have recently held an election?

Get real.

Excellent article.

Israel is in for a rocky ride. Bibi is seen by world leaders as an untrustworthy liar.

Bibi will still be in office when Obama leaves the presidency. I suspect Obamas parting gift will be the passage of some very pro Palestinian resolutions at the UN. Resolutions future US presidents or congresses will be unable to undo. He could even bypass the congress by doing something at the UN that allows Iran the peaceful development of nuclear power. That would be a fantastic legacy. He would be able to leave office knowing that no future President or congress could betray US interests by dragging American into another costly war against its interests.

And lets hope the doomsays about Iran wanting a nuclear weapon are correct. Israel has no intention of making peace. Bibbi said so just a few days ago. Israel only understads force. When they have a a real adversary like a nuclear armed Iran they will finally agree to peace. It will be good for the region ajd world peace.

There will be one state. Palestanians will eventually all become Israelis.
