Alarm bells warning of this week's massacre should have sounded loud and clear when American Secretary of State John Kerry visited Israel on 2 January.

Netanyahu - some years ago:

"And by the way, a piece of news, Israel is the one country in which everyone is pro-American, opposition and coalition alike. And I represent the entire people of Israel who say, 'Thank you, America.'' And we're friends of America, and we're the only reliable allies of America in the Middle East."

David , you are fighting a losing battle. Jew hatred is increasing throughout the Western world. Unfortunately the left control not only the media but also the educational institutions. Truth has gone out the window. One day you will realise that it is the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ that causes the left and also the Islamist to hate Israel so much. Israel reminds them that the God of Israel is the only true God. You don't really think that Israel has survived by its own merits do you? Yes God has blessed them with more brains than most. No amount of logic or reasoning will convince the leftist brainwashed people. They have a common hate with many Islamist. That hate is the God of Israel. They will lose in the end. Their is no doubt about it. The eyes of the Jewish people will eventually be open to the God that has brought them back together as nation (out of the ashes).

Dont want to be hated?
Stop being murderous invaders and killers. Get back inside your recognised borders and free the people of Gaza.
Sign the nuclear disarmament treaty and get rid of your WMDs. Stop calling for your religion to be given special treatment.
Stop hating Arabs.

As Israel continues down the same road and morphs into a sad parody of their oppressors in the 1930s,with the introduction of racial laws to further the apartheid state.
They also have already created the concentration camp in Gaza, where ever few yrs they murder 2 or 3000 Palestinians ever time they think up an excuse to bomb, starve or just use them for target practice with the IDF.
And then up bobs David clutching his latest brief from the Zionist propaganda office to put out the official lie, justification, they send,no wonder your loosing David, you can only use the Bible and the other stock excuses before they don't believe you anymore.
Apart from Runner of course I think he regards the Bible as the Literal truth not just a collection of made up myths and story's written down as factual.

David. Jew hatred, as evidenced by comments to your posts are certainly not restricted to Arabs. I take Runners point that the 'left' appear to take a lead in fostering this hatred. Abbas is playing Kerry for the fatuous non-event that he is. Obama's recent speech in Brisbane illustrates the need for a change of president along with the recent change in the mid term senate elections.
Once the school curriculum, the state controlled media and leadership changes in the Palistinian territories, it will still be another generation of Jew hating that will prolong the suffering of the Stateless Arabs. How come the only citizenship a 'Palestinian' Arab can get is in Isreal? Why cannot the third and fourth generation of Arabs in Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria not get citizenship in those countries? When will Abbas call an election? Returning territory to pre 1967 borders, as in Gaza, does nothing to appease the cancer of hate in the Arab population. Still, the 'usefull idiots' carp on and on with their misplaced conviction of Israeli injustice and hatred.
Regards. Peter

Comical Dave,

Great stuff. You're always good for a laugh.

What 'heavy price' did you have in mind?

Another rampage in the Occupied Territories?

But you only just finished your last killing spree there with well over a thousand dead Palestinians civilians!

Surely you must wait a bit. Anything else would just be seen as indulgent.

Israel as America's 'friend'. Laughs all around today.

And you have the gall to quote Netanyahu. Surely he is the most dangerous man alive today.

Does the term "Jew Hatred" also go the other way as in the Torah by referring to non-believers as Goyim ("human cattle") whose ultimate destiny is to serve and be ruled by Judaism and whose murder is not considered a mortal sin?

It's one thing to play the eternal victim "get-out-of-jail-free" card but another to actively promote domestic and international terrorism by selling arms and providing military training and support to overseas dictators, ignoring agreed UN convention rulings and assassinating people at will.

If it wasn't for blind US political and financial support Israel would probably qualify as just another rogue state.

International good will and turning a blind eye to atrocity only goes so far.

I'm not sure that Juadism has the notion of a "mortal sin". It definitely had the notion of "capital sin" - for instance, picking up firewood on the sabbath. But as for the sanctity of human life, Jehovah killed jew and gentile alike with gay abandon and it was all perfectly ok.

PaulMurrayCbr,
Quite so but I should have said the Talmud, not the Torah.

The Talmud says the murder of a Jew is a capital offense and one of the three most heinous sins (the other two being idolatry and adultery).

A Jew who indirectly causes the death of another Jew is, only guilty of what Talmudic law calls a sin against the 'laws of Heaven', to be punished by God rather than by man.

To cause indirectly the death of a Gentile is no sin at all.

I'm in no way suggesting that these beliefs are widely held by Jewish people but the extremist parts of the Israeli government seem to hold them in high regard, if not by their words but by their deeds

Plantagenet:

Here are a few other memorable quotes from Netanyahu:

“The truth is that if Israel were to put down its arms there would be no more Israel. If the Arabs were to put down their arms there would be no more war.”

“I often hear them accuse Israel of Judaizing Jerusalem. That's like accusing America of Americanizing Washington, or the British of Anglicizing London. You know why we're called 'Jews'? Because we come from Judea.”

"Clearly, in Eastern and Western Palestine, there are only two peoples, the Arabs and the Jews. Just as clearly, there are only two States in that area, Jordan and Israel. The Arab State of Jordan, containing some 3 million Arabs, does not allow a single Jew to live there. It also contains 4/5 th of the territory originally allocated by this body's predecessor, the League of Nations, for the Jewish National Home. The other State, Israel, has a population of over 4 million of which one sixth is Arab. It contains less than 1/5 th of the territory originally allocated to the Jews under the Mandate?. It cannot be said, therefore, that the Arabs of Palestine are lacking a state of their own. The demand for a second Palestinian Arab State in Western Palestine, and a 22 nd Arab State in the world, is merely the latest attempt to push Israel back into the hopelessly vulnerable armistice lines of 1949"

“My first name, Benjamin, dates back a thousand years earlier to Benjamin - Binyamin - the son of Jacob, who was also known as Israel. Jacob and his 12 sons roamed these same hills of Judea and Sumeria 4,000 years ago, and there's been a continuous Jewish presence in the land ever since.”

“Well, this is an unfortunate part of the UN institution. It's the - the theater of the absurd. It doesn't only cast Israel as the villain; it often casts real villains in leading roles: Gadhafi's Libya chaired the UN Commission on Human Rights; Saddam's Iraq headed the UN Committee on Disarmament.”

Hi David Singer

Here's more Netanyahu quotes:

“It is said that every people has the Government it deserves. It is more to the point that every Government has the electorate it deserves; for the orators of the front bench can edify or debauch an ignorant electorate at will. Thus our democracy moves in a vicious circle of reciprocal worthiness and unworthiness.”

"I used to be Snow White, but I drifted."

"Save a boyfriend for a rainy day - and another, in case it doesn't rain."

“Relatives are simply a tedious pack of people, who haven’t got the remotest knowledge of how to live, nor the smallest instinct about when to die.”

"“I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.”

"There is only one religion, though there are a hundred versions of it."

Truly :)

Very stupid and misleading for you to pass off quotes from Oscar Wide and George Bernard Shaw as Netanyahu's.

The mindless moronic Jew-haters stalking my articles might just believe you. They seem incapable of distinguishing fact from fiction.

Here are a few more authentic Netanyahu quotes

“Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon now presides over the UN Security Council. This means, in effect, that a terror organization presides over the body entrusted with guaranteeing the world's security. You couldn't make this thing up."

“Our policy is very simple. The Jewish state was set up to defend Jewish lives, and we always reserve the right to defend ourselves.”

“We cannot accept the fact that Jews wouldn't be entitled to live and buy anywhere in Jerusalem. … I can only imagine what would happen if someone suggested Jews could not live in certain neighborhoods in New York, London, Paris or Rome. There would certainly be a major international outcry.”

“I don't think you can rely on Iran. I don't think you can rely on other radicals like the Taliban. They dispatched Al Qaida to bomb New York and Washington. What were they thinking? Were they that stupid? They weren't stupid. There is an irrationality there, and there is madness in this method.”

“In my office in Jerusalem, there's an ancient seal. It's a signet ring of a Jewish official from the time of the Bible. The seal was found right next to the Western Wall, and it dates back 2,700 years, to the time of King Hezekiah. Now, there's a name of the Jewish official inscribed on the ring in Hebrew. His name was Netanyahu.”

Hope you find many suitable occasions to use these quotes.

Dear David Singer,

Your problem is that your quote;

“The slaughter of four Rabbis with axes, knives and guns whilst praying in a synagogue along with the serious wounding of six other Jews caught in this horrific blood bath – and the murder of a Druze police officer who went to their rescue – is the end result of endemic Jew-hatred which began in the 1920 Jerusalem riots, was embodied in the 1964 PLO Covenant, and then reinforced in the 1987 Hamas Charter”

Can just as easily be written as;

The slaughter this year of over 1500 civilians including over 500 children whilst seeking shelter in their homes or under UN protection, along with the serious wounding over a thousand more Palestinians caught in this horrific blood bath – and the murder of ambulance officers who went to their rescue – is the end result of endemic Palestinian-hatred which was signaled by the 1948 genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinian villagers, was embodied in the operations of the Irgun, and then reinforced in the Likud Party's Charter.

What you are demanding is that we in the West, including the US president and Secretary of State, see the former as far more heinous than the latter.

That sir would be far more racist than your despicable denouncing of all and sundry as Jew-haters.

Shame on you for even suggesting it.

The 1920 riots in Jerusalem during the festival of Passover - which saw 6 Jews murdered and another 200 injured - was just the starting point.

This was followed in 1921 by riots in Jaffa and Petah Tikvah, which left 43 Jews dead.

In 1924 a better prepared Jewish defence force was able to deal with further riots in Jerusalem in which 133 Jews and 116 Arabs were killed.

By late August 1924, the Arabs, attacked Jewish settlements near Jerusalem. By the end of the rioting, 135 Jews (including eight Americans) were killed, with more than 300 wounded.

The 1929 Hebron massacre on 24 August saw sixty-seven Jews murdered (including 23 college students) and brought the centuries old Jewish presence in Hebron to an end

Then of course there was the Arab revolt 1936-1939 when the Jewish community would have been slaughtered but for the intervention of the British Mandatory Authority.

This all happened before there was an Israel or "Israelis" or "Palestinians" - just "Arabs" and "Jews"

The Shaw Commission held after the 1929 riots concluded that the violence was due to “racial animosity on the part of the Arabs, consequent upon the disappointment of their political and national aspirations and fear for their economic future.”

That "racial animosity" has never ceased.

Your attempt to portray the conflict as having originated in 1948 is false and misleading.

You are just one such victim of Arab propaganda that has sought to bury what happened in Palestine between 1920-1948.

Those Jew-haters who post to my articles are similarly brain-washed - although suggesting they ever had a brain is being complimentary to them.

"The Jews are a peculiar people: Things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews.

Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people, and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it. Poland and Czechoslovakia did it.Turkey threw out a million Greeks and Algeria a million Frenchmen. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese--and no one says a word about refugees. But in the case of Israel, the displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single Arab.

Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis. Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world."

Dear David Singer,

A quick lawyerly dive into semantics is rather unbecoming but not unexpected.

How about addressing my substantive argument;

“What you are demanding is that we in the West, including the US president and Secretary of State, see the former as far more heinous than the latter.”

What kind of monsters do you wish us to become?

Between 1948-1967 there were no "Murderous Settlers & IDF,the theft of land & water & demolishing of Palestinian homes, the imposition of Apartheid & the creation of a huge Concentration camp called Gaza" as claimed by you.

No Jews lived in Gaza or the West Bank. They had all been kicked out in 1948 and not allowed to return. Jordan and Egypt were in occupation.

Why was there no peace during those 19 years? Why wasn't a Palestinian State declared in what they now say they will accept 66 years later provided all the Jews are kicked out again and Arab refugees are allowed to emigrate to Israel?

I am afraid the Palestinian Arabs have well and truly missed the boat in trying to create a second Arab State - in addition to Jordan - in former Mandatory Palestine - when that could have happened with the stroke of an Arab League pen at any time between 1948-1967.

Twenty years in fruitlesss negotiations since 1993 prove once again that the Arabs never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

#SteeleRedux

The invasion of Palestine by six Arab armies in 1948 was merely the continuation of the racial animosity displayed towards the Jews since 1920 - attempting yet again to reap havoc and destruction on Jews.

There need not have been that invasion. The Arabs should have accepted the UN decision to divide western Mandatory Palestine into one Arab State and one Jewish State.

As in 1922 and 1937 they rejected similar opportunities because they wanted it all - and still want it all.

Their avarice knows no bounds. That was their decision to make but they must accept the consequences.

They do not know and have never known how to compromise. 21 Arab States and another 36 Islamic States in this world are not enough.

Now a Caliphate has been declared with yet another Islamic State- bringing with it the death and destruction and displacement of hundreds of thousands of Moslems and Christians - with lots more in prospect

You have made your bed. Enjoy lying in it.

Tragic indeed.

So much for those stupid Arabs, but why should Israel punish ITSELF as a result? Nothing could be more toxic and corrosive to Israeli society than this ongoing holding onto the West Bank (and especially Eastern Jerusalem and that idol-wall within it).

With the military might it now has, Israel no longer needs those territories for its security - in fact, the resources used up there hold up the IDF from better training and equipping.

Can't there be a different punishment for the Palestinians for their stupidity which does not cripple Israel itself? Perhaps forcing them, kicking and screaming, into having their own independent state will be their worse punishment!
