We wouldn't be talking about war unrest and hunger, but rather how funds rerouted from endless, useless, wasteful wars, were making a real difference in the lives of disadvantaged and dispossessed peoples the world over!

Game changer, indeed. That would make the Beijing-Moscow-Berlin New Silk Road a reality, and wouldn't the world be a better place were that to happen!!
I do, however, wonder if it is even possible. Not only does the US hold Germany's sovereign wealth in the form of its gold bullion, but Germany is still an occupied (by the US) country.

Oh, I expect they still have it. Why would they have sold it when since WWII any time they (the US) wanted money they have been able to just print the stuff.
But whether or not they will ever return it, or simply consider it spoils of war such as Libya's and the Ukraine's, is another question.
But I don't know, and without being shown the gold, can anyone? I'll bet the Germans wonder...
