Noah fiddles while creation floods : Comments

By Anthony Cox, published 2/4/2014

Hollywood takes a Christian fable and turns it on its head as a warning to those who would manage creation.

The great flood is true. It started after the last ice age when in fifty years the seas rose 30 metres. AGW supporters never address the ice ages, they never get a mention, why?
We were tribes and the collective memory would be passed down and written up in various fables like the bible. Interesting, yes, fun yes and purely speculative of course.
Come on, our Rusty has made a film with loads of special effects, sounds great.
Do not take those effnuckles seriously though. What next Britney Spears giving her thoughts here?

Good old Rusty. But like most Hollywood actors he is 99% ego and is very susceptible to fads and scams like AGW.

This film cost about $140 million. That's like $140 mill free advertisement for the IPCC. As Hollywood floods go this one has it all over Crowe's green bit of wet lettuce and talking rocks;

Just think Myrna Loy as a slave girl. That's a flood.

The last ice age not worth a mention, being the result of volcanic action, it does not relate to man made volcanic action.

I know you can say funny things 579 but that takes the cake. The ice ages are a product of Milankovitch cycles.

And you are now saying humans cause volcanoes?! Cripes, poor humanity; alarmists no bounds in their dislike for humans and their willingness to blame humanity for everything.

yep the self righteous outrage against humans by the warmist does not stop them from living godless lives. They even boast about it. On the other hand the flood four thousand years ago certainly shut the mouths of the mockers of their Creator. Won't be any different next time however it will be fire that destroys the earth rather than flood.The author is half right however defining Noahs flood as a myth displays ignorance and lack of desire to acknowledge truth.

runner, the Earth was one big flood as the interglacial began 22000 years ago and resurged after the Younger Dryas 11000 years ago. Sea levels rose inexorably as the vast ice age ice sheets melted.

Combined with that was the end of the polar droughts which the world endured during the ice ages due to the water being frozen. The rains and consequent floods were vast. A good example is visible outside of Lochinvar going west with huge river basins formed as a combination of runoff and powerful tidal action as the seas rose.

Nothing biblical about it all. The hypocrisy here is AGW attempting to claim God-like status for its stupid theory while impugning conventional religious folklore based on the warming and its effects at the beginning of this interglacial.
