Robert is of course entirely correct in his assertion that we are genetically programmed or patterned to grow into the state/condition of full Self-Realization. The necessary subtle psycho-physical structures are already there, waiting to be activated.
Unfortunately our entire "culture" including all of its dim-witted exoteric religion knows nothing about this intrinsic possibility, and in all kinds of ways actively suppresses the possibility of such Self-Realization from occurring. This reference is about the Western literary/philosophical prejudices against such Higher Knowledge & Realization. http://www.dabase.org/up-1-3.htm This reference describes the seven stages of psycho-physical growth that are latent in the psycho-physical structures of every human being. http://www.aboutadidam.org/growth/seven_stages.html This reference describes how the process of evolution works in or via the structures of our body-mind-complex http://www.aboutadidam.org/readings/divine_physics_of_evolution/index.html The references available here introduce some unique beings who actually Realized something remarkable about the nature of our existence-being. http://www.beezone.com/ArticlesTradition.html Posted by Daffy Duck, Friday, 25 October 2013 12:42:58 PM

Dear Daffy Duck,
I looked up the references you cited. They simply consisted of more assertions about human behaviour. There was still not a bit of evidence to verify the statement: "Each human being is genetically programmed with a drive to seek and find meaning in life and it will endeavour to do this throughout its life if it is allowed to do so." Repetition of an assertion does not establish its validity. The assertion could be proven valid by establishing that a particular portion of the human genome impels humans to seek and find meaning in life. The statement remains an unverified conjecture. daff/link\quote..<<The Seven..Stages..of Life
<<What is..the total process*..of human growth?>> GENES?GENES/genes so read nofurther <<..What would occur..*in us..>> ie IN..OUR MINDS..in-our hearts..or in/our cellular bodies or by our..genes?[the use if in*..excludes genes..[in]..that merely instruct..[excludes all..external's] not the pre-conditional..use of 'if'.. <<..if we..were able..to grow..>> genes? <<..to the full extent..of our potential?>> <<..Avatar Adi Da Samraj offers..a schema..of seven stages..of life..>. IE MORE THAN GENES? <<..which represents His Wisdom on the entire spectrum of human possibility...He has systematically/described..not only our {genes}..physical,..[BUT..ALSO]..emotional,..and mental development,>> THATS 3...AND GENES..but more <<..but also..all the phases..of Spiritual,..Transcendental,..and Divine>> hangon.. this REFUES GENES..not..proves a fallacy <<unfolding that are potential in us, once we are mature..in ordinary, human terms. <<..This unique schema, which proceeds from birth to the final phases of Divine Enlightenment, is a central reference point in Avatar Adi Da Samraj's Wisdom-Teaching. <<It is an invaluable tool for understanding how we developas individuals, and also for understanding how the Teachings and practices proposed by the various schools of religion and spirituality fit into the entirety of human potential. The first three stages of life.. are the stages of ordinary human growth..from birth to adulthood.>> genes..WHAT GENES? [look..its great info..daffy..but*..genes..not* <<..They are the stages of physical, emotional, and mental development, occurring in three periods of approximately seven years each (until approximately twenty-one years of age). Every individual who lives to an adult age inevitably grows in the first three stages of life. In most cases, though, that growth is not complete. yes a great link.. http://www.aboutadidam.org/growth/seven_stages.html but not proof of concept..of genetic pre-dominance.. nor pre-disposition..pre-judgment/bias hope perhaps? never the less great info..as to true influences great find;] Posted by one under god, Friday, 25 October 2013 1:46:07 PM

daffy..its called confirmational-bias
we raised the issue here.. http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?article=15257#269560 /when..someone..named an ape.. as..passing...the mirror test [ie its genes ..were PURE APE].. but it was changed...by..its environment* COMPLETLY..unique..[its the best example..the jesus of 'great-apes' so as to be..a super ape [uniquely..*WAY BEYOND ..his poor GENES] i feel..that post alone corrects the confirmational-bias/error.. derived from conformational bias..[our discussion..next evolved into this topic]..we so need scribes to properly digest the facts..and give proof i..go top read the..darn article but post limits..make for fewer edits http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=6040&page=0 http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?article=15257#269560 Posted by one under god, Friday, 25 October 2013 2:00:41 PM

The above is an assertion for which the author has offered not one scintilla of evidence. I have accepted that there is no meaning in life beyond the living of it. In the living of it one may find great joy. One can appreciate food, sex, art, science or creation in different areas. The author has built an edifice of theory on a base of sand.
If we are genetically programmed in any way there should be evidence to substantiate the claim. I know of none, and the author has presented none.
As far as Gandhaian non-violence goes it has worked in some circumstances and can be applied to create a more peaceful world. However being genetically programmed is a scientific claim and should be based on verifiable evidence.
