I think we can all think again if we seriously think Putin wants peace.
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/171767#replies Russia has transferred several S-300 missile batteries into Syria, Kuwaiti newspaper Al Rai reported Tuesday. The transfers took place despite statements by Russian officials, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, that Russia would not provide Syria with the advanced anti-aircraft system. Al Rai claimed that Syria has accelerated the rate at which it ships arms into Syria since the current crisis between Russia and the US began, when chemical weapons were allegedly used to kill over 1,000 civilians, on August 21. The information was picked up by Voice of Israel public radio, which added that Russian ships are due to offload more military aid in the next few days. LEGO states "The best outcome to the Syrian civil war would be for Assad to heed Obama's warnings and hand over every drop of chemical weapons that he has. He can then get on with the job of exterminating his enemies and we won't give a hoot. No matter how bad Assad is, his enemies are worse. It all comes down to which oppressive regime in Syria that supports terrorism we would prefer to win. I know that Arjay, David G, and Geoff of Perth have trouble understanding that concept, because they are unable to grasp things like moral perspectives. To these characters, there are only bad guys who oppress good guys, and good guys who are the oppressed, in their tiny minds."
Nothing difficult to grasp at all LEGO. What I find odd and hard to reconcile is how you think that the Israeli, US, Saudi and Qatari support for those 'enemies who are worse' is valid. Assad did not start this military action in his country, it was designed and instigated by third parties, with the tacit support and approval of the governments outlined above. I believe the recent Russian intervention has clearly shown the so-called imperial power of the US to be what it really is, dishonest and losing its geo-strategic policeman status. Clearly US interest has nothing to do humanitarian interests, they would have bombed regardless if that was the mission. This whole episode is about energy and access to it. I agree with Geoff of Perth. It's all about energy and access to it. There is a pipeline waiting to be built from the Gulf States to Europe. Which route will it take? There are oil and gas wells being illegally sunk in the Occupied Golan. Will that be allowed to continue?
If Assad goes along with this, I only hope Russia and China are the overseers of the process. The examples of Hussein in Iraq and Gaddify in Libya show what happens when an Arab nation surrenders its deterrent ability to the West. Posted by halduell, Wednesday, 11 September 2013 2:59:06 PM

No mention of Israel's chemical weapons and 200 nukes.
Let's be truthful. They want to attack Syria because it is ally of Iran and Iran is the big oil prize. Syria is also needed as a pipeline route from Qatar and yes Syria has found oil off shore. Syria and Iran have their own independent banking system that the New World Order does not approve of. Posted by Arjay, Wednesday, 11 September 2013 5:00:00 PM

The devil is in the detail of the "collect or destroy the chemical weapons (CW) proposal".
Getting access to the CWs in several locations far into Syria may mean Boots on the Ground of soldiers in Blue (the UN) or Green (Western, Russian, Chinese or Arab military).
Boots or Inspectors on the ground need defending against snipers, IEDs and suicide Truck-bombs.
Will the extremist groups within the rebels or Hezbollah accept 1,000s of Western "Infidel" Inspectors or their "Boots" protectors spending weeks-months on the ground in Syria?
