Hi David,

at it again I see!

When did Israel sanction the policy of Apartheid and when did they sanction the policy of a blockade on the Palestinian people you keep referring to?

Talk about hypocrisy!

When you deny a people the basics of life for long enough, you eventually get to feel their blow-back.

As US hegemony in the ME declines I wonder who will fill the Israeli supporting back-up when it is needed most, certainly won't be the US or NATO.

Get used to being alone in the world as any Apartheid state should!

And another thing David,

what the hell does Liberal or Labor policy have to do or justify in the upcoming election when it comes to the ersatz nation of Israel.

You can push your barrow only so far, who care's what any Jewish Australian organisation thinks or does, at the end of the day it means nothing to Joe or Jane average in the street.

Israel is a pariah state and as such Carr and Rudd, despite not putting pen to paper in relation to a genuine policy shift, should be congratulated for identifying Israel's current racist political, ethnic, social, environmental and economic policies for what they really are.

You can push on your pathetic piece of string as much as you like, unfortunately for you, you have now been exposed completed as what we have all surmised for the past few years.

You are a bigot, a racist and a deluded soul, shame on you and those you purport to support

Another barrage of lies for hasbara points. Here they are, from the beginning:

1. In the heading: Mr Singer presents Rudd and Carr disdaining to switch from real Australian issues as “being tight-lipped” on “anti-Jewish policy”. The “anti-Jewish” lie is especially blatant, being placed right next to the actual words of Bob Carr (read them, folks). Such hectoring lies are like Howard’s Iraq WMD lies – arrogant in demanding that the listener accept a plainly untrue statement or be vilified as Andrew Wilkie was.

2. “the Labor Party had adopted as policy that Jews had no right to legally live in the West Bank”.

First, the 4th Geneva Convention, which declares illegal occupiers’ transfer of settlers to occupied territory, was adopted by Australia in 1958 when the parliament ratified it. Second, there is no prohibition of Jews living in the occupied territory in accordance with its laws. Third, Jews lived peacefully alongside Arabs in Palestine for generations, long before the Nakba shattered the peace.

3. “Mosque Declaration was shoddy policy made on the run” Another lie: the policy was put together in lengthy negotiations involving dozens of nations including Australia. The new policy proclaimed on this issue is by Julie Bishop, repudiating the law that parliament led by her own party had ratified along with the rest of the world’s decent (and some indecent) nations.

4. “another hastily cobbled together policy announced by Rudd in July regarding asylum seekers - making it clear newcomers would no longer be re-settled in Australia under any circumstances” Actually the policy is to deny boat people, not newcomers, resettlement in Australia.

5. “this policy reversal.” Lie repeated.

Stirling is my electorate. I’ll be urging everyone I know to place Dan Caddy last, and hoping the Zionists really do manage to bring on a public debate.

To the best of my recollection, for years on OLO, there's been a weekly "article' from David Singer, a privilege afforded to no other contributor as far as I can tell. The question is why?
Where are the Palestinian propagandists?

To #Rhys Jones

"Israeli" = "Jew" = 6.2 million Israeli Jews. Abbas does not want a single one of them living in his State.

BTW - What is the source of your claim that "the vast majority of Jews in the World are not Israelis."

To #Jay of Melbourne

You make a lot of general and unsubstantiated comments about the Moslem vote.

Consider this opinion appearing on the SBS news site:

"Associate Professor Rodney Smith specialises in Australian politics at the University of Sydney.

He says a lot of the marginal electorates in western Sydney have large numbers of voters from a non-English-speaking background.

Dr Smith believes the debate around the future direction of immigration and asylum seeker policy could have a big impact on who these voters support.

"It is clear that migration issues are issues which are of great sensitivity to communities, particularly communities which are affected through family and other links with people who want to come to Australia. So I think both the major political parties will be very careful in terms of the way they present their candidates and their statements around these issues, but also their more general policies. It is possible that the Labor Party may suffer some backlash through its tightening of the 457 visas, but by the same token, it may be the case that there may be some groups in those electorates who may well say 'Well, by doing that, it's giving people who are already here more of an opportunity to get work'."

Dr Smith believes Labor will struggle to retain its marginal seats in New South Wales and the party is also unlikely to win seats from the Coalition.

He believes the Liberals are likely to win the western Sydney seats of Parramatta, Reid and Greenway from Labor, the central coast seats of Dobell and Robertson and the southern Sydney seat of Banks."

Would Rudd,Carr and the Labor Party be listening to you or Rodney Smith when trying to work out the best way to get the Moslem vote after alienating Moslems with their asylum seekers policy?
