John Barilaro and jobs for the boys.

I have in the past posted a number of discussions concerning John Barilaro and in particular his ongoing feud with comedian Friendly Jordies.

Barilaro ultimately left parliament, took a payout of $700,000 from Google for defamation and looked set for a plum job as the NSWs trade commissioner in the US.

It has since been revealed there are serious questions about the process of that appointment and Barilaro ultimately withdrew from the role.

I wonder if those who where so defensive of the man and critical of Friendly Jordies have reassessed their take on the former Deputy Premier?

And do people welcome the fact that such a high profile discussion of 'jobs for the boys' may now lead to both major parties being a little less likely to engage in the practice?

Not one apple in the barrel is untainted in NSW, with Labor no improvement either. O’Bied and McDonald both serving prison terms for corrupt insider information used for personal gains.

I was actually one to get amusement from friendly Jordies. I was impressed with his up- front approach.

Hi Steele,

A new report from Grattan Institute tells us that 1 in 5
lucrative and powerful government board positions
have been handed to politically connected individuals.
"Insidious jobs for mates culture," if very much a
part and parcel of the political agenda.

I assume that this is common practice in both business
and politics not only in this country but throughout
the world.

The following link has more:

Not sure if an anti-corruption commission will help - but its
worth trying.

Thanks Steele,

No, I have not changed my opinion of Bad Boy Barrels, "there are serious questions about the process of that appointment" Lets call a spade a spade, and use the correct word...CORRUPTION!

What about the sudden sacking of NSW Fair Trading Minister Eleni Petinos for extreme allegations of bullying staff. Seems this one made the so called Labor "Bad Girls" look like shrinking violets. When Petinos unleashed on a staffer, something she done on a regular basis in front of others, it was no holds barred, she would call them for everything under the sun, her language would make a wharfie blush! Perrottet had no alternative other than sack her immediately. So I am told.

Anyone who thinks Friendly Jordies is nothing but a pole of poo, can't be too bad.
