The government doesn't create jobs, businesses do

AC

Dead right. The only jobs governments can create are in the public service; and they should stop doing that. There are too many public servants. 2% increase over the last year I believe. They could, of course, contribute to businesses looking for workers by forcing people off the dole. No work no money. The jobs looking for workers are pretty much the same as the potential workers on the dole. Too many Australians still want to pick and choose what sort of work they will do.

Paul,

Morrison did a great job taking unemployment down from 5.9% inherited from Labor in 2013 to less than 4% with a strong economy. That's after Labor inherited a 4% unemployment rate in 2007. No doubt Labor will screw it up again.

Hi AC,

There are some on here on the government payroll, they collect their "PAY" every fortnight via 'Centrestink'.

Some local news; A bit over a week ago on the Saturday night at about 7.15pm the Bayside Lodge Retirement Home at Lota was burnt down, the 28 residents lost everything. Shocking as that is, someone during the week tried to break in (its been fenced off) and set the place on fire again. The joints a total write off, what wasn't destroyed by fire, was destroyed by water and smoke. It shows the mentality of some people.
p/s The Fireys couldn't determine what started the blaze, but once it got into the roof the place was cactus.

Hi SM,

You have to admit, so far, Albo is doing a good job, even I am surprised, what about Dud Dutton, missing in action, been on two months holidays since the election.

BTW; Albo has never been a big fan of the Greens, you will like to know that, when he was a newbie for Labor back in the 90's in Grayndler he claimed the Greens were "stealing" Labor votes. A couple of times he had to rely on Green preferences to get him over the line. Now days his biggest opponent in Grayndler is the Greens, and its Liberal party preferences that makes it a safe, for the moment, Labor seat.

Paul,

If you can actually point to something Albozo has achieved since becoming PM then I can comment on it. So far he's had a festival of photo ops and while many left whingers such as Foxy are praising his achievements but are unable to actually point them out.

As for Albozo's relationship with the disparate bunch of clowns that call themselves greens, even Albozo is not stupid enough to touch them with a 10ft barge pole.

In the early 2000's Albo was desperate enough to take Green preferences. Now days the Greens are taking "his" votes. AND the Liberal Party like him so much, they give him their preferences.

BTW, what has Constable Clod done since becoming Opposition Leader, taken a long OS holiday that's what. Is Constable Clod another Rip Van Winkle type? I can't say he's all over the shop, because he hasn't been in the shop since he got the job.
