'will you put taxes up'?
ttbn,
In defence of Albo, that is an unfair question unless a great number of the populace of this Nation can guarantee they won't get any more insipid than the present status !
How can anyone plan ahead with the threat of such mentality hanging over them ?

Perhaps we shouldn't be too hard on the Labor Leader?
He's being attacked unfairly from a well funded and
well resourced shadowy right-wing group called
"Advance," that's apparently crashing Albanese's press
conferences, trying to stir him up and also driving trucks
around with billboards that read:
" CCP SAYS
VOTE
LABOR "

It's a well funded and well-resourced group that has been
seen in Australian cities - including Melbourne, Gold Coast,
Newcastle, and Perth.

Dirty pool!

Hi Paul,

Some exciting morning news.

Federal Labor has decided to prioritise a referendum
to create an Indigenous Voice to Parliament, which
allows First Nations peoples a say on policies and
laws affecting their communities.

Last election Labor set aside $160 million for a
plebiscite to determine support for a Republic.
This time they've decided and were concerned that
holding 2 significant votes on constitutional
change within a short period could confuse people
so they've decided to prioritise the referendum
to create an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

It's a big step and long overdue.

Before I forget -

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Today is Good Friday - and we're having fish for dinner -
Yay!

I asked my husband to buy Rockling fillets for us yesterday. He
came back with something called "Basa fillets."
I'd never heard of Basa so I looked it up.

It's apparently a catfish from Vietnam. And it was given a
thumbs down on the web - saying it's toxic.

Well I ended up throwing it out.

Luckily I had frozen Dory in the freezer.

Anyway - you live and learn I guess. The Basa was very cheap -
so I don't feel guilty. So be careful when buying fish.

Anyway, I hope you all have a lovely Easter - full of
family joy - and don't eat too much chocolate.

Take care.

Hi Foxy,

HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAYS,

Yes, that is good news on proposed referenda, these issues are worth putting to the people, and will be welcomed by many, including me.

On Basa fillets $7/kg, or Vietnamese Catfish, I'm not sure about the toxic aspect, it is cheap, boneless and rather sweet. Often called "Cod" $8 a battered fillet when sold as fish n' chips. Remarkably it can morph into other species of fish, even Barramundi $35/,kg when the fish shop owner so desires. Basa can even turn into a mythical fish called "Pacific Dory" at $25/kg so be careful when purchasing fish, your $35 Barramundi might be little old $7 Vietnamese Cat Fish.
