The anglosphere is a concept that's been around for more than a few decades. The best discussion of it was by Robert Conquest in his book "Reflections on a Ravaged Century".
Basically the Anglosphere is a collection of English speaking peoples who, because they were all settled by the British, inherited the British attitudes toward liberty, liberalism, democracy and capitalism. To Conquest the main members were/are Britain, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. Depending on how it develops, India might also be a member. "In his major work Reflections on a Ravaged Century, the historian Robert Conquest argued that the political arrangements of the west were all increasingly deficient, the EU included. The answer was “a more fruitful unity” between the Anglosphere nations. And, in a speech to the English-Speaking Union in New York in 1999, Margaret Thatcher endorsed Conquest’s vision, noting how such an alliance would “redefine the political landscape”. Oxford University Press's - "The Anglosphere -
Continuity, Disonance and Location," edited by Andrew Mycock and Ben Wellings "is the first detailed analysis of the Anglosphere, its history, and contemporary relevance." "It brings together leading international academic experts in a comprehensive multi-disciplinary study and considers the opportunities and challenges of developing the Anglosphere." Worth a read for those interested in the subject. Posted by Foxy, Tuesday, 12 April 2022 1:48:21 PM

CM: Don't be so paranoid, 'tearing down Anglosphere society' Anglosphere promoters from the GOP, Tories with Brexit etc. & the LNP platforming Anglo-Irish cohorts, are more than capable of doing it themselves.
Nice deflection or 'whataboutery', Dees of SPLC was 'complicit' in accusation of racism and actual sexual harassment, but it's not the point. Ignores decades of research SPLC has done (& others), including focus upon John Tanton 'the architect' or 'puppeteer'. It must be good analysis because the GOP demanded that SPLC be shut down & efforts to keep Tanton's papers closed (at Michigan University's Bentley Library where the request includes his liaisons with KKK types). These 'conservatives', really don't like others' exercising their freedom of ideas or speech? However, ignores John Tanton's long standing influence and architecture in Oz, UK and US (Canada too e.g. influence on Rebel News editorial); while masquerading as conservative but deeply white nativist and racist, with a strong authoritarian streak. Tanton has been discussed here, why? Because he was allegedly hosted by the head of the, cough cough, 'environmental NGO' Sustainable Population Australia in Canberra many years ago, and links to similar 'NGOs' in the UK also, while his USA network informed the Trump White House. On Dugin, from Liyanage at the CARR Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right: 'Dugin is on a crusade against liberal values to strengthen traditional collectives, such as racial and cultural identities'; seems to resonate with the GOP fringes and grifters, ditto here in Oz? Dunlop on Dugin in 2004, cited direct quotations from Dugin including '‘China, which represents a danger to Russia, “must, to the maximum degree possible, be dismantled”.' The latter contradicts LNP, NewsCorp etc., GOP and US media messaging on the supposed partnership and 'arc of autocracy' between Russia and China? Of course again it's not the point but to make Biden-Democrats appear weak before the midterm elections later in '22... However, same tactics, avoid mentioning Trump et al. as to what would Trump do if the President, throw Ukraine and the EU under a bus to appease Putin? Tough guys. Would add some related news, from conservative historian and political analyst Anne Applebaum on Anglosphere related think tanks, including one in Hungary funded by the govt. of PM Orban, a mini Putin (linked to all the Koch think tanks):
'If you work for the Orban-funded Danube Institute, or are/were enjoying a fellowship there, your views on Viktor Orban and the Hungarian elections should be taken with a grain of salt and a raised eyebrow. Just saying.' Several Australians linked to the Liberal Party inc. a former PM, advisor, partner and a former ambassador have attended, presented or been a visiting fellow of the same Institute; after Applebaum's comments the former ambassador's profile disappeared very quickly.... On beating up Biden in media, according to National Memo (10 April '22) in 'Behind Smear Campaign Against Bidens, It Was Bannon And Rudy.. Three people heralded the effort to disseminate compromising emails, pictures, and videos from the laptop, as well as shocking allegations of child porn possession on Hunter Biden’s part: Rudy Giuliani, then-personal lawyer of former President Trump; Steve Bannon, who had been charged with fraud, was later pardoned by Trump, and more recently indicted for contempt of Congress; and Guo Wengui, an exiled Chinese businessman.' Three credible sources and/or accusers; then again who cares if it's true, or not? Posted by Andras Smith, Tuesday, 12 April 2022 8:07:13 PM

"Anglosphere."
We're told that - "It has its roots in the Victorian heyday
of the British Empire."
"But could the "Anglosphere"- be an imagined community of
the leading English-speaking nations - come into its own
as a political and economic entity in a post-Brexit world?"
A new book co-edited by the University of Huddersfield's
Dr Andrew Mycock explores the possibilities and probes the
problems:
