Russian businessman living in USA.

In his post, Konanykhin wrote, "I promise to pay $1,000,000 to the officer(s) who, complying with their constitutional duty, arrest(s) Putin as a war criminal under Russian and international laws."

"Putin," he continued, "is not the Russian president as he came to power as the result of a special operation of blowing up apartment buildings in Russia, then violated the Constitution by eliminating free elections and murdering his opponents."

He concluded, "As an ethnic Russian and a Russia citizen, I see it as my moral duty to facilitate the denazification of Russia. I will continue my assistance to Ukraine in its heroic efforts to withstand the onslaught of Putin's Orda."

Jose'

Have you been able to work out which side God is on in this war? In every war God is on someone's side, why would this war be different

Paul, God is not on either side, but he is present in the actions of those that protect life even of an enemy. The scripture says feed your enemy.

Dear davidf,

Well put.

Security of borders as a reason for occupying buffer areas is well used tactic. Israel's occupation of the West Bank and the Golan Heights is an obvious example.

Not that this always has to involve invasions. Russia, through forcing the Cuban Missile Crisis, secured the withdrawal of US Jupiter nuclear missiles installations in Turkey.

Currently there are 5 NATO countries which store US nuclear warheads for use by NATO fighter jets.

The expansion of NATO eastwards since 1997 has been extraordinary.

A different Russian leader may well have decided to drawn this line in the sand also, although how much of that expansion was in response to Putin's leadership is hard to judge.

Speaking of tactics who else remembers the Salami Tactics described in that quite brilliant show Yes Minister. Still topical after all these years.

DavidF said- "Perhaps the only way to eliminate war and the destruction of the environment is to eliminate humanity. "

Answer- So war is human nature- Hobbes seems to believe this- bellum omnium contra omnes- the condition of man is a condition of "war of everyone against everyone". At least it's better than the naive John Locke in Principles of Democracy and his notion of peaceful man in a condition of nature- the proverbial deer probably didn't think of man as peaceful- perhaps Locke in the English Civil War was as depressed as Tolstoy was in the Napoleonic Wars a century later- and the myth of the elitist beneficiaries of war- they both bastardized Aristotle's Politics and the seventh system of "government by law". But perhaps if there was less people there would be less war- people would be more valued- supply and demand. In science they talk of the four fold root of reason- in a sense- the idea that one system can't be used at all scales- but law hasn't realized this yet- panacea's and pancreatic cancers- both deadly.

Kudos to David F- though perhaps he was being ironic- interesting when people say the truth through error
