The "National Plan" is just a way to make it look like they are in control and doing something when in fact it's a matter of hoping for the best (or least worse) outcome.

Ideally they want things to stabilise in some way well before the next election and in time to contrive a new positive distraction for the voters.

Someone suggested what Morrison is really saying is "Some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make".

Hi rache,

"Some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make". That has always been part of the conservative political mantra in Australia. Be it Bob Menzies supplying Australia cannon fodder in Korea and Vietnam or John Howard doing likewise in Afghanistan. For the Liberal Party the value of ordinary Australian lives has always been rather cheap. Why would Morrison and co take a different attitude with lives in the pandemic.

What sickens me is the conga line of Coalition members trotting out each day and mouthing the insincere words; "My condolences" They seem to say it with a real smirk on their faces.

rache,
Besides being a rather stupid statement, it is also extremely unfair. Morrison is NOT saying that at all.
If you want to look for someone to blame, look at those refusing to cooperate in slowing the spread of the virus. The conspiracy theorists & those who waffle on about Democracy are the ones who demand 100% safety without adhering to rules themselves.

Pauliar,

The virus already has been named the Dandemic after Dan Andrews killed more than 820 people.

Maybe it should be called the green death after the green anti-vaxxers.

shonkysinister,

You seem to have over dosed on Dangerous Doctor Donald's Donkey Pills again, in your vain attempt to ward off the virus, its made you delusional. Dan Andrews Victorian State Government was not responsible for 820 deaths what so ever. Private aged care has always been a Federal responsibility, so it was all down to Morrison. Just as the Berejiklian mob is responsible for tens of thousands of infections, and up to a dozen deaths a day in NSW

How about a comment on the NSW situation.

More weasel words from the loony pedogreens.

It was Dan Andrew's monumental cock-up in contracting with his union mates that brought the virus to Victorians. The federal government is responsible for funding and regulating aged care facilities not running them. That again falls to the fwit Dan.
