An SA winery has decided to demand a covid passport from customers before they may enter to spend money with them. An interesting piece of virtue signaling, which could get more interesting for the winery’s income given that there are hundreds of places selling the same product in South Australia.

>>Mr Andrews also foreshadowed a bleak future for unvaccinated Victorian adults on Friday as he looks to ramp up vaccination rates across the state. He indicated vaccine passports will be key to moving forward and living with the virus, saying “by the time we get to 70 and 80 per cent everybody who wants to be vaccinated, I think, will have been given an opportunity to do so”. “So, I think if you’re not vaccinated and you could be, then the chances of you booking a ticket at a sporting event, going to a pub, going to all manner of different places will be very, very limited. "At this stage the greatest incentive is freedom. If you're vaccinated you are going to be able to participate in the economy. "What will become, I think, a bigger part of our response is a lockout of many, many venues for those who are not vaccinated. Now that might seem a bit harsh but I've said this before and I'll make the point again that I'm not going to lock the whole state down to protect people who won't protect themselves."<< What makes you think that I, an unvaccinated would care to mingle with the likes of asymptomatic infected mutants anyway? And if you prevent unvaccinated from being a part of the economy, well that just means that you will get less of our money too doesn't it? AC,
That's right. People should be taking care of themselves, not leaving it to Big Brother, who might keep finding excuses to hang on to the new powers they have award themselves, even after Covid is accepted as a fact of life, Might? Will is more likely, particularly with a MONSTER like Andrews. Unfortunately, Australians seem to like it. Posted by ttbn, Saturday, 4 September 2021 5:52:22 PM

Hey ttbn,
Some on the right oppose lockdowns and mandatory vaccines. Some weigh up the risk and think the vaccine is the best path to take. My mum's had the vaccine, and I can understand why she feels it's the best path for her, I don't begrudge anyone for their own choices in deciding whats best for them. But me, I'm not keen on either Covid or the vaccine. I think firstly the government failed the country, And I also think some premiers have failed their citizens, and brought a nightmare upon the rest of the country. I keep hearing different things all the time. Somebody told me the red cross won't accept blood from vaccinated people, I don't know how true that is. If there's truth to that, then it's only the unvaccinated who'll be able to save the lives of people who need transfusions; - But you hear so much stuff, it's hard to know what's what. I think the government had a duty to protect it's citizens from an outside contagion, and they failed, and now everyone has to pay a price for it. I've generally supported lockdowns, but only because I don't support spreading the virus further; - but that position is only in lieu of governments failure to protect us in the first place. Who thought it was a good idea to put our international quarantine in capital city cbds? Such poor forward thinking; or a total lack thereof Plenty of people will likely begrudge me for not joining the vaccine team, but I think people are entitled to make up their own minds without coercion, so I don't really care. One truck driver with delta came into Queensland a few days back, and now we have 1000 families in self isolation. I can't say I don't support trying to keep it out of my state, because I do. Apparently the truckies went on strike again, apparently they blocked the M1 just as they did the other day, (I saw footage) but the news doesn't tell us things they don't want us to know anymore. It's one hell of a mess. I will never be able to see Australia and Australians the way I used to ever again. There's not a thing we can do about it, except keep our heads down. I'm perhaps fortunate in that I am a loner, and I'm not interested in doing anything that I can't do on my own. I buy food, walk, go to the doctor, dentist, read, potter in my garden. That's about it. I feel for young people who have to work and raise kids. I've seen the best of Australia, and I don't like what I see now. People thinking that everything will turn out well are naively kidding themselves. I am sick and tired the subject, and will say no more about it.
