Foxy,

I've never heard of anything like that before.

Doesn't sound like he was much of a sociologist if he behaved like that.

I know of borderline cases but nothing like an F v HD.

I never experienced that myself because I only ever did enough work to get a D.

But it is strange because papers are graded according to the standard set of guidelines that all markers must comply with so that it is an even playing field irrespective of the marker's background and prejudices.

Very strange indeed.

Maybe he was drunk and eating pork pies when he was marking your paper. You know what those Middle Eastern types are like.

Chris,

I also saw the 60 Minutes episode.

The thing is - no notes or documentation or police
reports have been found on the alleged incident
and her account has been denied by long time Biden
staffers whom she worked for at the time.

Also details of her account have been inconsistent and
she's changed her story over time. In 2019 she came
forward with an account of Biden touching her shoulder
and neck in a way that made her feel uncomfortable but
she never mentioned sexual assault.

She may have a political motive.

Mr O,

I was a very shy student and it took all of my courage
to fight for a re-evaluation. I'm glad that I did.
As for what Middle-Eastern types are like?
I had no way of knowing back then. I was not into
politics at all and simply thought the man had not
done the right thing. Besides -I thought I had to fight for
what I thought was a good paper. I believed in it.

Chris,

Fair enough.

However, I prefer to wait.

Hopefully, sooner or later the truth will surface.

For now - these are very volatile political times.
And who knows who's doing what for what end.

Regarding Foxy's comments on Joseph Stiglitz...

I enjoyed Joseph Stiglitz' work on inefficient markets and the discrediting of the efficient market hypothesis but like anyone he has his limitations. He is a person who believes in the religion of Locke Liberalism. I believe that upon analysis he is inconsistent on political issues as are we all. He doesn't really appear to have the skills to talk of politics perhaps "even though" or "because" he spent twenty years in Africa.

Perhaps our esteemed Chris Lewis and Mr Opinion are perhaps better qualified than Joseph Stiglitz to discuss politics- though even they humbly admit their limitations.
