Should Tony Abbott go for Federal Parliament again? He lost at the last Federal Election.

One could argue Tony Abbott was unfairly attacked by lobby group Getup! and as a result lost the seat he was formally representing in parliament.

What do you think?

Tony Abbott running for office in Eden Monaro?

Hardly likely.

What on earth has an urban politician like Mr Abbott
got to offer people out there? How could he
possibly represent them? It would be just as bad as
the job he was given working with the Indigenous. And
look how successful he was at that.

But coming from someone
who wanted to re-introduce knigthoods and Dames
back into our system - I guess anything is possible.
Especially if his ambition knows no bounds.

Eden-Monaro - could be just a stepping stone for the man.

Onward and upward.

But who in their right mind would vote for him?

Don't answer that.

I suspect all this is a bit sus. Somebody's testing the
waters. Perhaps another position is being held in mind.

I think it,s a lie like everything that ever fell out of his mouth.
People are not that stupid to ever vote for him again. Except the usual suspects that are on this site.

Dear runner,

You write;

“personally I think that Abbott has to much integrity to be in the current Parliament”

For once I agree with you, certainly in regard to the current lot in leadership positions within the Coalition's ranks.

As much of a misogynistic, lying, nasty, puerile, and utterly dishonest politician Abbott was people like Dutton, Taylor, Morrison, Bridget McKenzie, and Joyce all leave him for dead.

He set a standard which following members of the coalition have striven to plumb even further. As a result he now looks middle of the pack to some.

Of course attention deficit in a life without politics has seen him making more and more outlandish statements but that is just part of a calculated veneer to stir on the gullible like yourself. Would he tone that down once back in? Perhaps, but his Machiavellian instincts would have the party in disarray pretty quickly, which would be another good reason to have him back. That was such good sport.
