Hasbeen is slipping up. Lol. tic.

It's amazing many people seem to ignore fireworks residue falling into the Sydney Harbour marine ecosystem.

This must be the the work of pansies.
Drone show? Are you freaking kidding me?

The US spends trillions of dollars on bombs to blow ACTUAL people up, EVERY BLOODY DAY, Cant sell enough of the stuff, cant stop pumping oil or building new pipelines and you're all so completely brainwashed that you think getting rid of some ANNUAL fireworks is going to change the world.

Firecrackers?
NUTcrackers!

- Good for the pets though -

AC, don't they light the kiddy sparklers at 9pm, and have the main show for the big kids at midnight? All my years of living in Sydney I went once, never went again, couldn't get enthusiastic about it. I believe some profiteers can rent their Harbour side apartments for up to $2,000 for the night. I thought this years event should have been cancelled, after all NSW had, had enough fireworks with bushfires to last them a lifetime.

Hey Paul1405,

Well, I do think they go a bit too far with the fireworks themselves;
- Like it's a global competition to see which city can have the best display on the news.

It really doesn't need to be such a huge display, but I don't think we should just do away with it away altogether because a few greenies scream 'climate change' and others scream 'bushfires'.

These new youngsters deserve to enjoy the fireworks and night out just as we all did as kids.
I'm not going to support taking that away forever and replacing it with some generic (and pathetic) politically correct replacement.

(That will only promulgate a future police-drone state)

Stuff that, light the crackers!

I prefer a smaller community oriented night out for the locals however, than some stupid global stage competition between international cities, which I think is dumb.

Cracker night is a grain of sand compared to an entire beach of bombs that nations we support and are allied with regularly use.
