I have no interest in Margaret Court as a person or as a tennis player. I do have an interest in the thuggish and discriminatory behaviour by Tennis Australia against the woman.

It now appears that they have caved in and will honour Mrs. Court for her achievements. Not that they should be excused for their appalling attitude towards her views on SSM to date.

"Our sport welcomes everyone, no matter what gender, ability, race, religion or sexuality, and we will continue to actively promote inclusion initiatives widely at all levels of the sport", TA has claimed.

Margaret Court's religion excluded. Mrs. Court's religion tells her SSM is wrong and Tennis Australia has discriminated against her, and insulted her because of her beliefs.

Clearly, TA's claim that it "welcomes everyone" no matter "what …….. religion ……" is a lie.

It's convenient for Tennis Australia that Mrs. Court is a Christian and not a Muslim. I wonder how the media would have approached such egregious behaviour from TA if she had been expressing her beliefs according to Islam. Would they have reported the discrimination with such delight?

If she was sprouting her 'pride' in homosexual activity they would be lauding her achievements. Because she along with 5 million other aussies voted against same sex marriage she is considered a leper. Seems like sport has degenarated to the levels of Hollywood. Really it is a reflection of a very sick society. Personally I think she should ignore tennis Australia and tell them to stick their award.

She is being harassed for having the same view that lesbian Senator Penny Wong had not long ago, before the SSM thing became political and championed by Leftist homo fascism. And, while a majority voted in favour of SSM (perhaps not realising that the demands would never end), they DID NOT vote for naysayers to be treated like criminals, gagged and sneered at; nor did they vote for sporting bodies and virtue signalling businesses to lecture people on what the should think.

Margaret Court is the greatest achieving tennis player, male or female, in the history of tennis. The fact that she does not support gay marriage has nothing to do with this record. It’s not even as if she has ever made any derogative comments about gays, quite the reverse. And apparently she has gay people as members of her church. And if we are looking at her social contributions after her tennis career, well apparently her church provides 3,000 meals a week to the homeless and poverty stricken. That alone should earn her accolades.
Two of the people leading the charge against her are high profile lesbian tennis players who didn’t break her record, in fact one of them , Billy Jean King, didn’t even come close and in fact was usually beaten by Margaret when they played.
As a nation we should be celebrating the unparalleled achievements of the greatest tennis player ever, not playing identity politics to placate lesser achievers.

Yes. Margaret Court is a much greater asset to society than her detractors are.
