It now appears that they have caved in and will honour Mrs. Court for her achievements. Not that they should be excused for their appalling attitude towards her views on SSM to date.
"Our sport welcomes everyone, no matter what gender, ability, race, religion or sexuality, and we will continue to actively promote inclusion initiatives widely at all levels of the sport", TA has claimed.
Margaret Court's religion excluded. Mrs. Court's religion tells her SSM is wrong and Tennis Australia has discriminated against her, and insulted her because of her beliefs.
Clearly, TA's claim that it "welcomes everyone" no matter "what …….. religion ……" is a lie.
It's convenient for Tennis Australia that Mrs. Court is a Christian and not a Muslim. I wonder how the media would have approached such egregious behaviour from TA if she had been expressing her beliefs according to Islam. Would they have reported the discrimination with such delight?
