If they are brought back here they should be lined up against a wall, & have the natural penalty applied. The last thing that should happen is for them to be given homes & welfare payments. Such things belong to only our citizens that although down, are loyal citizens.

That’s not going to happen, Hasbeen. Not only has the death penalty been abolished by the Commonwealth as well as all states and territories but, in addition, in 2010, our federal government passed legislation prohibiting its re-establishment by any state or territory.

Erdogan has just stirred up a hornet’s nest, attacking the Kurds in Syria and threatening the European’s with opening the flood gates of the 3.6 million refugees they pay him to keep in Turkey if they try to stop him.

Also, as the Kurds are obliged to defend themselves, they are no longer available to guard the captured ISIS fighters or their wives and children in the Syria prison camps.

All hell is about to be let loose.

The members of the international coalition fighting ISIS have been convened to an urgent meeting to discuss the problem and agree on the most appropriate action.

None of them would want to see the ISIS fighters escape from prison.

If all else fails, perhaps the only other solution might be for each coalition member, including Australia, to repatriate its own national ISIS fighters, women and children back to their home country and decide what to do with them.

We might end up being the ones with our backs to the wall.
