The precedent was set by the Police who cautioned 'egg boy' for smashing an egg over Fraser Anning a few months back. Will the law treat the one who tossed Yogurt at Leigh Sales as lenient? If not, why not?

Hi runner,

Don't be concerned all's well.

A man has been charged with common assault after a
tub of yogurt was thrown at 7.30 Host Leigh Sales as
she delivered a Perth's "Disrupted Festival of Ideas,"
(suitable title). The ABC journalist according to
SBS, tell us that Leigh Sales was in the process of
describing a harrowing moment she almost lost her life
while pregnant with her 2nd child which is described in
her book, "Any Ordinary Day," when the incident occurred
on Sunday.

The Yogurt - understood to be blueberry (yum) splattered
across the stage and onto the curtain but did not appear
to hit Sales directly.

A WA police spokesperson said that a 49 year old man
was apprehended by security guards at the scene and
later arrested by police officers.

It's still to early to tell what if anything happens next.

Presumably, because no one was harmed, it will be
treated lightly. But we'll have to wait and see.
Sales has been praised for her professionalism and
continued her talk.

What a waste of good yogurt.

Throwing yoghurt is more serious and offensive than throwing eggs because most yoghurts in Australia contain gelatine, a substance made of the bones of dead animals.

However, I was not able to find online which brand of yoghurt it was.

Was he Greek, was he that Mr Anonymous, the well known Greek cafe owner? Possibly a Greek style yoghurt. I can hear the shouts of derision against the Greeks for not getting anything right, not true! I must point out they do make a damn fine yoghurt if nothing else. Did you know, probably not, if the world ate more yoghurt (Greek style) and less gojiberries, world demand for gojiberries grew by 3267% in the last year alone, the Greek crop of gojiberries failed for the fifteenth year in a row. although the hogeberries are doing well, the Greeks had a bumper crop this year, unfortunately world demand for hogeberries is zero, Greece would not be in the financial mess it is in now.

I hope the above has made things clearer about the yoghurt throwing incident.

How do we know it wasn't a set up by the LNP as part of a further campaign against journalists aimed at stifling the freedom of the press?
