The really strange thing is that these 'woke' corporates are working against their allies, the Right conservative free enterprise spruikers. The Left, that hates capitalism isn't going to support them, so it looks as if big business has a death wish.

Mr Opinion,

If the objective of your posting was to display your ignorance and casual racism then you have succeeded spectacularly.

1 - There is no evidence that "big Business" funded Clive Palmer.
2 - As per the previous election, most of the voters were from the Libs not labor
3 - Labor also tried to buy his preferences.
4 - As for the Chinese, the anti chinese racist statement by a Labor MP did little for their desire to vote for Labor.
5 - The Chinese make up about 5% of the population.

Dear Shadow Minister,

If you tell me how to upload photos with my posts I will put some in to show typical scenes from around Sydney viz trains, foodcourts, shopping centres, etc. Then everyone can do their own head count to test whether you are correct in saying only 5% of the people in the scenes are Chinese.

I would have thought that Clive Palmer is a bit busninessy himself. It was all his own money that he put in to the election, and he said that he was satisfied with the result. He certainly helped to keep Labor out.

Mr Opinion, I think your both right, it's a question of geography and timing.
I would not challenge your comments about one in every two people being Chinese, but you must direct us to the fact that you were in a place where this is the norm.
Now on the other hand, let's go into the suburbs at large, and see that the prevalence of Chinese is dramatically reduced and in fact somewhat non-existent.
For instance ALL major cities are famous for their 'China Towns', well most larger ones anyway.
So it is that this phenomenon is possible.
Then there is the other factor of races gathering and living in groups or certain suburbs for the usual and obvious social inclusiveness and cohesion allowing people to assimilate much quicker due to the non threatening nature of living amongst ones own race or kind.
I have to say I find the figure of 50,000 Chinese a month settling in Australia, a very 'hard to believe' number of immigrants.
That equates to approx, 2,000 a day, for the last twelve years?
I hope you can see the reason for my reservation about those numbers.
I don't know, but I imagine you got that number from some reputable or govt body, and I would question their terms of reference.
If not my reservation stands.
